who is the top seed in the 54th?

Congrats Hazard

Hazard is now the #1 seed and plays Buckhorn. Hazard just wanted this one more. Perry threw it all over the field for 5 innings, had bases loaded in 3 of the first 5 innings and didn't get anything out of it. Looked like a JV team out their playing. Perry doesn't have the pitching to play 3 nights in a row, they threw everyone they had the last two nights against Harlan County and didn't have anyone left for Hazard. Chitwood didn't throw bad, he just puts it over the plate and you can't do that to a good hitting team like Hazard, especially to Slone right out of the gate. Boggs came in a gave a couple of good innings, should be a good District tourney and better region. Good luck to both teams.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure that Bobby Keith will have his team ready when it really counts, the district and regional tournament....

He did give credit where it was due, both of these teams are very even. Hazard was the better team last night, they hit the ball very well. Perry's pitching staff was exhausted, and that definitely hurt them. Should be a great district tournament. Probably (hopefully) see a rematch in the district championship.

Hazard won in every aspect of the game. PCC's pitching was not totally decimated. The defense gave no help for Chitwood and Boggs. The game was over midway through the first inning. PCC got two calls they did not agree with and the kids quit. Plain and simple. Hazard controlled the bases, the sticks, the pitching, the attitude, the fielding (for the most part) and that's all there is to it.

I thought perry pitching was not that bad. The defense made the pitching look bad. Perry had more pitchers but didnt use them for some reason. Hats off to the Hazard team they wanted it more. They will meet again next week will be a better game.JMO

Seriously, I did give them credit. How many of the 10 runs were earned?? Maybe just the lead off home run line drive that went 301 down the line, and that I believe was it. All the others came from Perry throwing it around the infield and not making plays that should of been made. Should be a great tourney this week, good weather and great baseball, can't wait!
