Boyle is very, very, very good.

I know Pikeville has tradition but i just dont think there going to be the # 1 team in there district this year. Its going to be a 3 way toss up with AC, Paintville and Pikeville. Best of Luck to all teams and too Betsy lane as well as they try to make it 2 straight trips to the playoffs.

Pikeville schedule is wreck this year. They will be 5-5 or 6-4. Boyle Co, Belfry, Sheldon Clark is 3 of them, I don't know what kind of team P-burg, Paintsville,
Covington Holy Cross will have this year coming. These 3 teams can beat them, I say the team that show up to play that night will win.

I think Pikeville will lose 3 games with the possibility of a 4th loss. They will probably lose to Boyle, Belfry, and SC. Covington Holy Cross is a fairly new program with several returning starters from last year, but they are no powerhouse team.
Prestonsburg loses just about everything and will be a rebuilding year for them, so Pikeville should win that game easily.
Paintsville won't be able to play with Pikeville this year even with the return of Dohderer(spelling).
Allen Central, well it's Allen Central. Game shouldn't even be close. Remember their playoff game against Harlan!
This will be Pikeville's year with all the players they have returning. The young skill that got alot of playing time and experience last year, along with an older and experienced line on both sides of the ball should make for a very good team. People seem to forget how young they were last year. The only players they will have a hard time replacing will be Harmon at DB and Baker at wide receiver.

They were young but you have to remember that when the young skill players had a chance to play last year in the lopsided games, Harmon was still getting all the carries for some reason. However, most of that staff is gone and Ben will not have the arrogance to do those type of things. He will also have something that Copley didn't have, a level-headed assistant like McNamee to help him make better decisions. Look forward to August!!

In Ben Howards offense, the QB is the primary ball carrier. The QB at LCC had over 30 more rushing attempts than the closest runninig back and was the teams leading rusher. I wonder if Blake Branham is ready to accept this kind of role at Pikeville.

I agree, no way Pestonsburg beats Pikeville this year. P-Burg lost too many players from last year. This will be a rebuilding year for them.
As for the Betsy Layne comment, I'll just let it go!
Panthers should only lose three games this year, with the possibility of a fourth loss.

If he isn't, Ben is smart enough to adjust accordingly.

Anyone know what kind of team Sheldon Clark will have???

I agree. It will never happen w/ P-burg, or Betsy Layne. This yrs. team maybe a little better than what some may think.

Do you think he would change his offense or adjust the position?
