what kind of team do they have coming back? i think they are poised to make a run next year

Seems As Though Every Game We Won This Year, We Were Led By Laura. What Are We Poised To Do. Our Guards Will Be Very Inexperienced Unless We Get Help.

This will be the worst Valley team in years.

faith: wait a minute, we do not know who all we will get from east ridge. we will know as soon as they make the hire. speaking of poised , there are several kids who have already said they are not playing next year and a couple who have said they are going to sv. lets just wait and see, we may get the guards we need to become a contender.

No one is planning on coming to SV. East Ridge will always send a few players our way due to the location of the school. Please do not get on here and talk about people coming.

I don't see how anyone can say the worst team in years. If Swindall, Sawyers, Tackett, and other girls return I don't see it being anywhere near the worst Valley team in years. I still look for them to be a contender...

Looking at what everybody has back Sheldon Clark has to the overwelming favorite followed by Shelby Valley and then Betsy Layne. Rodney Rowe does and outstanding job and his Wildcats will be pretty good but with Booth back,SC is the favorite.

I think the Valley girls will do just fine next year, with or without any transfers. They may need some time to rebuild but I think they will be okay. They have some really good younger players that should not be counted out just because they haven't been seen alot out on the floor of the Varsity games. I for one will be cheering them on win or lose!! :Cheerlead

they have a great coach and some solid players it will be interesting.........the 15th is wide open this year.

Its hard to say right now, but I know that Betsey Layne has some of the best guards in the 15th as far as scoring.

Sv will play a little different style this year. The ball go inside often and the pace will be a little slower. I f the turnovers stay at a minimum SV will be pretty good.

I look for some of the younger players to really step up. Look for Brook Coleman to have a light out year!

How are they looking so far?

I think that the post play of Megan Tackett will really suprise a lot a people next year. she has really improve her play this summer

Looks like they have 18 - 20 girls including the young ones. Brooke & Megan have improved already from last season. Gaurd play is their weakness for now.

I agree! I watched Valley play Pike Central Monday and I was really impressed with how much Megan had improved since the season ended. She did an awesome job on both ends of the court. The guards are a little weak but once they are put in the positions they need to be playing in I think Valley will rock and will definitely be a contender in the 2009-2010 season! I don't think anyone should count them out just yet!!!!

Isn't there a girl who is playing in Illinois for a basketball camp?

Playing teams like Betsy Layne will help SV. Our Guards looked much better today .

Valley's girls guards are young and inexperienced but will only get better as the summer ends and the season starts this fall.

The girls have been playing summer ball for a couple weeks now. How are they beginning to look? Are they beginning to get adjusted to their new roles. Perkins had always lead the team in the past so I'm looking forward to see who will step into her shoes and lead the Lady Cats in 2009/2010!
