I'm sorry, but this makes no sense at all. Just because he is 5'11 doesn't mean that he will not have a chance at winning the Mr. Basketball award for '10.

In my opinion a lot depends on how far SV goes in the State tourney
and how much attention he can get from that. Next year they will be without
a lot of height that might not enable them to compete with the teams they
can this year, perhaps he can grow another inch or so and put on some more
weight, upper body strength. If I was recruiting for any school I would keep
this young man on my "Watch List".

Pittman will definitely be one to watch. Justice is a fantastic player and you know that he will work hard in the offseason to tighten his abilities even more. Those are the only two juniors that come to my mind instantly. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

AGREED, I do think he will be in the talk for Mr basketball but he would not be in my top ten. Justice is the best player in the mountains and will also be in the talk for Mr basketball next year. I know how hard these two kids work, they will suprise a lot of people of how much they improve. It just depends on how much these 2 guys improve.

Love his game and I hope that Valley can have a lot of the same success they had this year. Elisha will be amazing but the team will have to step up and fill some gaps from graduation. However, I do believe that as lot as Elisha is the PG they have a great chance to win any game. I will say that he will be top 3 in state. Good luck elisha!

Elisha is not to small why don't you try to stop him on a drive or even try to drive on him........ he will be Mr. Basketball

Pittman will have something to say about that....

Comming out year in 2010.......Tyler Recznik 6'7 soph. he can shoot anywhere on the court. He needs work on his handles but will be fine. He currently plays for Pike Central. His junior yr. we will see if he is going to be a leader like thought to be. He's currently wanting to play for Jr. Newsome, the best coach in Eastern ky. but has not made up his mind. As we all know Betsy Layne is a basketball school. Tyler is a true football player thought and Pike Central is a little of both more towards football though. I cant wait to see what Tyler can do next yr. on the field and on the court....

I guess people has forgot about the talent @ Scott Co. They will have 3 of the top 10 players in the state next season.
Mountain Players not in any type of order.
Johnson- Corbin
Miller- Knox Central
St. John- South Laurel
Green- Middelboro
Reed- Clay Co.
Justice- Shelby Valley
Cox- Knott Co.
Whitaker- Hazard
All of these kids can really play.

Pittman has played better competition this year than has Shelby Valley and has performed extremely well in those games. Check how he played against Scott County, Bryan Station, Ballard, Franklin County and any other number of games and you will see just how well he played against them. Pittman is the arguably one of the most talented in the state and has lots upside. He is extremely athletic and has lots of room for improvement. Justice is very good, I won't deny that, but he just doesn't have the upside to Pittman. Until Shelby Valley steps up and plays the big boys and plays the premium teams in the state then I can't give Justice my vote for Mr. Basketball. The top players in the state most often play against the top competition in the state and how they perform in those games is WHY they get noticed like Pittman has.
