One of the biggest problems with the teams from E. Ky is many are from small communities and if the kids play AAU then they don't field teams in other sports or somewhere along the way a team from that community suffers. This is a double edged sword!

Teams from the larger population areas are playing AAU and doing year around conditioning programs and over the years this puts the E. Ky teams behind and at a disadvantage. It would be good if someway somehow the E. Ky teams would find a way to participate in AAU more than they do today.

I can't find the schedule for the 8u & 10u AAU State Tournament this weekend March 6-8.

Are they going to play these tournaments?
Who is in them?

I heard a new person is running the tournament this year. Schedules are not out yet.

BTW...7th grade Northern Ky Wolfpack is ready!!! We're playing at the Fieldhouse in Indiana this weekend.

7th grade Wolfpack is a very good team. We(JOhnson Co..) played them last year in the state tourney, they were very well coached and shot the ball really well.

Guys this is labeled AAU and I heard some people talking about a rule. As a AAU you can not be affliated with a high school. So make sure you AAU coaches you are not helping with the high school in any way..

thanks

I think the rule is that, if you coach at the high school level you can't coach high school kids in AAU. 12 and under is not sanctioned by the KHSAA.

Rule is:

Any high school coach paid or unpaid is not allowed to coach a team, Im almost positive it doesn't pertain to middle school as long as none of their players play on that team.

Bold is for certain.
