Reports are that this is a one year deal, but I don't have the money figures on what he would be making. Thoughts about Jr going back to seatl?

He used the Braves to get the incentives that he wound up with in Seattle. there was never a doubt that he was going to Seattle, he just wanted a piece of the pie. When the Braves entered the bidding, Seattle gave Jr. a clause that if attendance rises by x%, he gets a cut. Bidding was over, Jr. said yes, deal done.

Back where he began his dynasty.
I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal

In the bleachers it will! In Seattle, Jr. is the King. Just like the overweight Elvis in is heyday, Jr. will pack'em in at the Kingdome. At least the Mariner's are banking on it.

I think ticket sales will go up, but in the end he will retire as a Mariner.

Good for Seatle if he will play

even if he get 25HR then I think it will help the team.

I guess the Mariners would love it if he hit 25 home runs since he hasn't don that in five years

Junior should have never left Seattle...

Awesome news....."If it was 15 years ago, lol. Can't wait to see him bat .239 with 11 homers and 38 RBI's. But Jr. is a class act and has been GREAT for the game!

do you think he will retire as a mariner?

That's the reason he wanted to go back 2 years ago

they must be wanting someone to be on the DL at all times. griffey can do that. he is too old and washed up. he needs to hang it up. he hasnt done anything in the last few years.

I still think he can hit. The question is what part of the lineup will he be?

He is my favorite player. Should have never left seattle. He would be up with Barry Bonds in Homeruns...JMO

I still think his Body would have broke down the same as it did in Cincinnati. It wasn't leaving Seattle that cost Jr. his homeruns, it was his health. It's a lot easier to hit dingers in Cincy's band-box than in the monster Dome of Seattle.

I think this way because when he was at seattle, he was sometimes the DH and sometimes was playing defense. He got more breaks when he was at seattle. I do think that if he would have never got hurt, he would be up with Barry Bonds in homeruns.

That's a good point, but if you recall, Jr's injuries were from baserunning, not the field. So the DH really wouldn't have play a big factor

TRUE, IMO he is in the Hall Of Fame. He is one that nobody ever mentioned steroids. He is probably the greatest pure talent in baseball history.

Agreed. I just hope and pray that when this liste eventually comes out about the rest of the 103 players, that we can continue to beleive the Jr. was clean during all of this. He will get his just dues as maybe the best player during this era of steroids that was clean

What is a good number you think he could reach? I think 650!

Two more years, that's feasible. I don't see Jr. hitting more than 20 per year

Nothing to be ashamed about with his career. Would love for him to get into coaching in some way so he can get his ring.
