Patrick Patterson went through practice Thursday and Friday and is expected to be back for Kentucky's showdown with SEC East rival Tennessee on Saturday barring any setbacks.
UK coach Billy Gillispie said at his Friday media opportunity Patterson was able to handle the workouts and should be in the lineup.
"He's doing better," Gillispie said. "He practiced (Thursday) and today. We didn't go as long today and he looked better.
"I would expect (him back) but I haven't talked to the trainer yet."
Patterson has missed the last two games with a sprained right ankle. Gillispie also said the time off allowed Patterson's injurer finger to heal and he is no longer wearing the bulky gel wrap on it.

To go with my prediction, the Cats at home and a fired up Patterson to get the Cats back in the tourney hunt, I like the Cats in this game.
