Does Belfry stand a chance?

Does Belfry stand a chance at a possible 3-peat this year or will they even make it to state?

I havent seen many AA teams and i was just wondering how they would fair up to the other state teams...

Belfry has as good a chance as anyone else. They lost to a very, very good Henry Clay team in the first game. Clay just might make it to the finals of 4A. I look for Belfry to make it back to Papa's:champ: :champ:

Belfry does have a great chance this year, but I think Russell will get revenge this year and end Belfry's playoff run.

I honestly think they we go to state again but Ft cambell will beat them like Bardstown did to pburg in 2001.

Belfry is a very tough team..and llike everyone else i know that there all about the running game even after losing their previous backfield...But they still need to develop a better passing game, even with the maynard kid in the backfield you cant always beat a team with a 100% running game

They have a chance to go back and win it again but there is one obstical that i no off Russell is very good this year and they might just stop this run of belfry.. watch out for russell come playoff time

Russell has a very good defense, especially against the run. The offense has a lot of kids who just find ways to make plays and get the job done. QB Tommy Brown, RB Kasey Clark, and RB Chad Edwards are all very good players.

I think what it takes to win a state championship is will power. if you have speed and power good then you have a calliber for a state championship but what you need more is a team hungrier then the reast of the teams to get where you want to be. I think if Belfry keeps doin what they are known to do they can do it. But we will see when it comes playoff time.

i think we have as good a shot as anybody else, i think we are playing as good or better team defense than we have the last 2 seasons, and moving nick bowe to the other corner position just solidified it that much more. yes we will miss the instant scoring threat that howard and jones brought to the table, but this trio of running backs are developing into a dandy backfield and if you add in matt maynard you have a leader on both side of the ball whose been there before and will keep this young team hungry and motivated to play thier hearts out. best of luck the rest of the way pirates!:wenumber1

VERY good possibility. Belfry mass produces football players with ALOT of talent. Any school can have tons of athletes but to have quality ones such as Belfry it's hard to do. The boys know exactly what they have to do to make it to the playoffs again and will work very hard towards that goal. Alot of other teams are bringing their A games in this season as well and I don't see them getting another state title but they will definetly give whomever a run for their money.

I think Belfry has a real good chance to go to the Pizza Box again. This Belfry team has yet again blown everyones expectations of the "Rebuilding Year" that was predicted.This team has yet to play its best football game.We will be peaking during the playoffs like we have the last two seasons. Im sure we will have to go to Russell and then possibly play a tough Ft. Campbell team. This is the playoffs and anything can happen.....

Belfry has a very good chance of representing the east in Louisville and when one gets that far, anything can happen.
Belfry is strong again.
Leslie Co and Russell cannot play with Belfry.

I believe that Belfry has the best chance to make it to state from the mountains. But I also believe that if they make it to state they cannot beat whoever makes it from the west.
