Private school officials in Kentucky are trying to find a compromise in lieu of a proposal to have separate post-season playoffs for private and public high schools in all sports.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association delegate assembly will vote on the proposal at its Oct. 20 meeting in Lexington.
Private school officials, however, are trying to broker a deal to get Proposal 20 voted down by instead proposing some less-harsh restrictions, Newport Central Catholic High School Principal Bob Noll said.
