Rank the 14th Region (Jan. 5)
#1
1. Hazard, with addition of Back and now in basketball shape
2. PCC, playing well, made a good showing in 5th/3rd
3. Knott, beat Hazard early, didn't play well over Christmas, but played good teams, fighting through injuries and sickness
4. Letcher, playing well now and ready for the Wymt tourney
5. Lee, starting to play together
6. Estill, Cackling can play
7. JBS, still dangerous, could knock off anyone on a given night
8. Buckhorn, playing well with what they got, play hard too
9. Cordia, good young club and good coach
10. Wolfe, with additions over the break they could move higher quickly
11. Breathitt, they should move up fast too.
12. Jackson City, good team, play hard, could knock someone off in 55th tourney
13. Leslie, rebuilding, should do well in All A
14. Powell, really struggling
15. Owsley, struggling more than Powell now that they lost Evans to Wolfe
16. Jenkins, lost everyone, rebuilding with new players and coach
17. Riverside, 100-12 against Estill says it all

All 4 are pretty close and are heads and shoulders above the rest of the region. We will have a better picture after this week's 14th region tourney, oops, I meant the WYMT.

Accurate rankings imo. However, at this point I would have Letcher 3rd and Knott 4th.

would have to agree with the 14th region tourney this week at the WYMT, should be interesting. The reason Knott is ahead of Letcher is because of the Win they got at Letcher couple weeks ago.
