Its a chance for Valley to make a statement that they are for real.

It should be a really good game. Dunbar isn't THAT far ahead of SV in rankings across the state. Like the posters said before me, it will be a true test of what to expect from the Wildcats this season. There should not be a big point deficit, Valley should stick right with them if not pull an upset.

I disagree. SV may be at home in this game, but Paul Dunbar is a consensus top 15 team in the state, and they are ranked higher than Valley in both the Courier-Journal and Herald-Leader preseason polls. Being at home narrows the gap somewhat, but I still say SV enters this game as a slight underdog.

This will be a great game to watch and one of the best opening night match ups across the state! I like SV at home by 4

Nope, at Valley, Valley traveled to PLD last year and PLD is coming to Valley this year.

I am going to say Valley by 5 or less. It is tough to walk into their place and win. I think Elisha and Ashley will be too much.

i think shelby valley will lose by 10 or more Paul Dunbar is a very athletic team...i'm not saying Shelby Valley isn't but valley just doesn't have to players to match up with Paul Dunbar

Saw Dunbar at the Fast Lane Classic and was very impressed with them. Good size inside with Rogers and Hudson is an outstanding guard and saw where Lanter hit six 3's against Tates Creek so it should be a good game. I hear that Mike Hall and Roger Fairchild are two of the refs.:ChairHit:

I think that it will be a game that shows whether or not Valley can play with a team the caiber of sweet sixteen material. I think this game will be close and I hope that Valley can wear them down but I will take Dunbar by 2.
