Latest SI.com Bowl predictions

Well the Cats look poised to pounce into the Liberty Bowl according to SI.com. This means the Nashville community will miss a third straight year of UK vs the ACC. I don't see this as a good thing as they will face Conference USA.

Personally i think this brings to the table a better chance for a win for the Cats. Also the pay out for this game is better.

As long as UK can face a team that they can beat then I could care less who they play, just as long as we are able to defeat them.

I agree it looks like either the Liberty or Music City at this point. The Music City would probably rather have UK than Vanderbilt, since they would likely sell the stadium out again. Kentucky would also be a more attractive opponent for whatever ACC team gets invited.

In my opinion, both bowls will offer the Cats a bid. It will come down to whether the UK brass want to make the shorter trip to face a more prestigious team like Miami or Va. Tech, or go to Memphis and give their team and fans a chance to see a different city.

Personally, I think I would take Music City. If they go to the Liberty and beat a team like Houston or Tulsa, it doesn't look all that impressive to recruits. But beating another BCS program in Nashville looks a lot better. And a loss to the C-USA team would look REALLY bad.
