I expected Central to win, but not by this big of a margin. Great job JC. They are definitely not a team you want to play.
#3
Wow...congrats JC
#4
congrats JC on the big win!
#5
Good win for JC, hope they continue to win as I am looking forward to a JC/Highlands matchup.
#6
Not surprised by the result but definitely by the margin! Congrats to the Eagles!! This could be the best JC team ever! We'll know within the next few weeks! There's going to be some very good football games in Paintsville the next few weeks - the kind that you don't usually get to see! Good luck Eagles!
#7
No questionable field goal for this one. JC went in took care of business!!!
Congrats to a great team...keep rollin...
#8
Not really suprised by the margin. Ashland does not match up well with Johnson Central. Central's strengths play right into Ashland's weaknesses.
#9
Did JC pull any starters in the second half? Or did Ashland start playing better D? Not much scoring by JC in the second half, so I was just wondering. Anyone that seen the game or would know, post us a summary as to the second half because I stopped listening at halftime. Thanks!

Maybe so, but in this game it doesn't sound like Ashland had any strengths! A thumping like that at Putnam is rare!

Yes it is but Johnson Central is exceptionally good.

I feel sorry for Belfry.

I feel sorry for all teams heading to the Nest this season. It will take a team like Highlands to give JC a game and possibly beat them given the way they are playing right now. If JC keeps their focus, they will be tough.
#15
Who ever plays them will be in for a long physical night. No disrespect to Belfry meant.

Coach Matney and his eagles make a statement tonight:ChairHit:

lol.......Evidently you have not seen Bryan Station.

Johnson Central put a beating on Ashland last year as well. I think Johnson Central will have their hands full with a decent Belfry football team that some are feeling so sorry for. Great win JC pulled for you 9 games this year.

I think JC is a little better this year Belfry maybe not quite as good as last season. The Eagles seem to be healthy unlike last year. Both teams are simular in style and this should make for a heck of a game. I hope that the physical play does not create injurys for either team week before playoffs begin. I would like to see this game played earlier in the season so neither team is beat up for playoffs..

Both will get an easy first round game to recover without a major injury that is. Johnson Central did a great job winning the number one spot with an enormously impressive victory over a good tomcat club.

I have a feeling Ashland is going to be pretty ruff in the next few yrs. Their quarterback is getting plenty of experience for later. How many teams start a freshman ?
#24
The margin shocked me a little. JC is for real.

I have been able to see Ashland play several times over the course of the season Hunter has improved each week and was very good against Woodford. Probably wasnt ready for what came at him last night but I believe he's going to be a good one.

Highlands=speed bump? :eek:

Trust me, Fort Thomas Highlands is anything but a speed bump. Truly the only way to describe this Highlands team is in fact a WALL. And this is coming from a Johnson Central fan.

You are right! I truely believe alot of JC fans do not know anything about Highlands. If the matchup happens, Highlands will be a BIG favorite to win, even on the road. I read that JC fans do not travel to away games because it is to far to drive. I can tell you that Highlands fans have already been making plans for the 3 hour trip to JC. Can you tell me how big the stadium is and do you have natural grass or turf? Hope alot of the JC fans show up to see this team; it is one of the top 15 teams ever at Highlands.
