Troy Polamalu speaks out against NFL
#1
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3646392

He said the NFL has made it two hand touch and a pansy game because of all the penalties that are handed out. He said players are beginning to think, if I tackle this person is it going to cost me 20G's tomorrow. Now I don't agree with Tomlin saying it's getting expensive to come to work unless your not one of the top dog'd getting paid millions, if you are lower on the totem pole than yes, you are going to think twice when you tackle someone is this going to result in a fine, the way the NFL is fining people today even without being flagged during the game. Now we all know that Troy is going to get fined but if you agree with Troy and want to call the NFL and it's ok with BlueGrass Rivals, the number to the NFL is (212) 450-2000. Roger Goodell has took the fun out of football, I say watch the criminals, but let them play.

I always said the NFL stands for the No Fun League.

Is that really the number?

I agree that players shouldn't be fined for hit and tackles that there was no flag on. Troy' does has a good point.

Yes, it is, it is a public number and I had called them last week and complained about if Hines was going to be fined without a penalty why wasn't Shaun Rodgers fined for that very, very, late intentional hit on Ben in the Browns game when he went at Ben helmet down, and ran directly at his injured shoulder in an attempt to injure him further. They didn't see it that way. I guess when Shaun Rodgers plowed Eli into the ground the other night instead of landing to where they don't put all their weight on them, Rodgers is 6 4" 380lbs,don't tell me he was not the reason Eli has a bruised chest. All I'm saying is if your going to penalize other players for penalties where no flags are thrown, let's be fair about it. Rodgers hasn't been playing fair and because of his size, he just has to hit you late and could do serious damage, fine, if your going to, but fine fair. But players in this league respect Troy because he doesn't speak up and is a very humble guy, when he speaks, his peers listen, and believe me, they are agreeing.

I agree. Pretty soon youre gonna hear the guys rushing the QB counting 1 Mississippi...2 Mississippi and if they get near the QB before they get to 5 its gonna be a flag and a fine. The NFL wants every game to be 52-49 shootouts because thats what they think the fans want. Some fans want to see a good hard hitting defensive game beacuse IMO thats what sets this game apart from all others.
