I think they have a little chance

This year yes they do. Belfry is nothing to what they where last year.

Not to mention JC is better this year than last...imo

This game should be a battle this year. Think JC is just a little better. Good luck to both teams.

Be specific on the Centrals though, because hopefully you are meaning Johnson and not Pike.
First Belfr's fine they are a great ball team, as is Johnson Central. So yeah I still think it will be a heck of a game. But a lot can happen between now and then for both teams, a lot of football left to be played. They are still a lot of time for improvement from two coaches who are known for that and a lot of things can happen like injry, but hopefully that happens to neither team.

I would say JC has a great chance to beat Belfry.I think JC has played a lot better opponets than Belfry has.Now before i get jumped on by the Belfry fans I think Belfry has a shot at winning this game,And I understand the problems you are having finding tough teams to play in and around the Pike county area.
And I do not mean to down grade the opponets of Belfry but they are a top 10 3A program and they are hard to beat.

I think JC will win

Pike Central, Louisville Central, Johnson Central??? Looking back at another post that was made by whomever started this thread, I believe they mean Pike Central....maybe the thread should be more specific. Since everyone is assuming Johnson Central, I will say first that this thread should be later in the season. There is a lot of football to be played and both teams have big district games before then. Second, JC has a great chance at winning all the games they play because obviously they have a really good team. Belfry, on the other hand, is used to playing in a lot of big games because they play 14 or 15 games a year. Sometimes the regular season competition could be better, but Belfry plays plenty of tough teams through the whole course of their schedule. Belfry will not back down, and ultimately the best team that night will win. It should be a great game. Since the threadstarter was meaning Pike Central, IMO, the Hawks just do not have the guns to compete for 4 quarters with Belfry.

Do not count the Pirates out just yet. They are known as one of the teams who improve the most during the season. I believe that last year's team had some advantages over this team, but this team is still plenty good enough to get to Louisville. A lot depends on winning at SC next week and securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The JC game is just a pride game and gives a nice measuring stick on how good your team really is and what they may need to work on.

I agree totally! Yes Belfrey has not played anyone great but they did not lose that much from last year. They have a nasty defense and should be a great game. On the other hand JC did improve a lot from last year and should have a chance.

yes

Pike Central....NO
Johnson Central....will be close and could be the Bucs only lose of the season but I believe the Bucs win by a TD.

Frome reading his other posts..He was talking about Pike Central..And to answer your question is the nicest of ways....Umm..NO CHANCE!

Pike Central- Not a snowball's chance in Hawaii
Johnson Central- Most on here have made Belfry out to be the underdog against them anyway, and rightfully so. JC will definately be the favorite playing at home.
Lou. Central- They beat Belfry last year, they could do it again.

I wasn't counting Belfry out. I was just saying that JC has a chance to win this season. Belfry is still the favorite in this game.

It sure is nice to see the level of optimism in Inez on a yearly basis... so refreshing in a world where everything seems to be negative. It is pleasant to know that some people do believe that their dreams can come true no matter hhow impossible they may seem to everyone else.

Seriously, SC has beat Belfry before and may do it again, but until they play Bell lets not even consider the upset yet.

I love it. Starting tonight about 10pm, I expect one of the more entertaining threads to take place. Belfry versus SC for all the district marbles. The only thing that could make the thread better is if SC were to upset Bell Co. Oh my, would the optimism in Inez get cranked up even more. Ya gotta give em credit for the "glass is half full" mentality. Remember the Cards are 3-17 all-time against the Pirates.

How is it an going to be an upset when both are undefeated and 1-2 in the region?

Any time SC beats Belfry it is an upset. Belfry has a better program, more wins, more district and regional and state titles. A 17-3 all-time advantage over SC. Two lopsided wins over SC last year. The only time SC has defeated Belfry and it was not an upset was in 1982. Belfry had one of their worst teams ever that year. The only way it is not an upset this year, IMO, is if SC beats Bell, or plays them real tough, establishes that they are a legitimate contender, then beats Belfry. If they do this, then my hats off to them and they will be the better team on next Friday night.

Pike Central - Nope.
Johnson Central - Hard to tell, they lost there best players, Belfry replaced their loses. I'll take Belfry.
Louisville Central - No, these guys are just too fast. Given, Ridge Wilson is done for the year it might be a little closer, but I say they're just too speedy for us.
