ouch

I think every one played in this one for JCHS. The starts were pulled with 9 min. left in the 2nd period.
10-03-2008, 12:12 AM
If that is true, it could have been 155-7!!!!!
10-03-2008, 12:12 AM
Ouch is right, Congrat JC!

Coach Matney showed alot of class tonight.

It is true, I was there. He did put the starters back in at the beginning of the 2nd half for about 2 or 3 plays and Chase Richardson got horse collared he pulled them Quick again.

he's just a classy guy, period!!! Good Job JC!!

Yes he did! But let me say that was the worst referee's I have ever seen. They let this game just about get out of hand.

If Matney stays at JC that will change

Its hard to imagine that this game would get chippy, surely not Paintsville, or as most of their posters said earlier in the year, thats just football!

Stats?

Eagle Pride 90` Wrote:Stats?Only two stats that I can remember was that JC had 599 yards on the ground and Welch had 144 yards on 3 carries with 3 TD's, plus 2 interceptions.

Anyway, that is irrelevant. I Don't really blame him after he had his freshmen in the game and paintsville had several freshmen in the game but gave the ball to a starter who scored a TD.
Congrats to JC, their line is great and really controls the trenches and just wears you down. Chase is an absolute beast! How many schools has Matney got looking at him?
Just hope that both teams came out without any serious injurys, both teams really smacked each other around! Been a ehile since both teams were hitting each other that hard. Coach Matney really was wanting to take care of his kids tonight. I know that for a fact.
Keep your heads up Tigers....bigger fish to fry this season! Good luck the rest of the way Eagles!

Looked like about all freshmen at the end to me.

Probably was not serious , but it looked like Deaton was one whupped puppy sometime there in the 3rd quarter when he was taken out as the QB for the night. Appeared like he was adeled(sp) quite a bit. To his credit though he went back in and played on.

They were out there, I was standing beside coach M when he sent them in. about the only starter that wasn't in was Dennis. Like I said though, it doesn't really matter now as I am glad this game is behind us without either team losing any players.

You are right...most of them were out there for the last play...I think Matney wanted to let them finish what they started...imo

Tyler did take quite a few hard knocks! He is a tough kid though. Quite a few Eagles took their share as well. Saw one come off the field in tears but he too had sucked it up and finnished with a very good game! Tough kids on both sides.
