Well, would you rather catch a ball all day or hit and push 250+ pounders around a field all day?
Would you rather run a rout or run a play or would you rather have to push a thousand pound sled around a field?

I'm guessing, but one of our sleds was a 5-man sled. It probably weighed 400 pounds by itself, then we had our two linemen coaches standing on it also. Together they probably weighed another 500 or 550 pounds....so that would have made the sled 900-950 pounds all together. Maybe I'm wrong, it might weigh more.
We had two other sleds. One was shaped like a popsicle and weighed probably 200 pounds. The other was a tackling sled and weighed...maybe 50 pounds.

I believe so, but I might be wrong. I know that he got hurt and that put him out for a while, I just can't remember when he was hurt and when he was playing.

I agree with CE....linemen.

I think that if practice is easier for one group than it is another the a team has found its weakness.

Lineman definately (former running back).
Mentally and physically. It's easier to tell when a lineman makes a mistake than a running back or a reciever. They also have to do the same agilities as those little skill players do.

It's all about what an individual puts into it. If your on a five man sled you can let the others push or you can push. If your running routes you can run them full speed or take a play off. It's all about the individual. A player who gives 100 percent during practice will not only be stronger but will get a Coach's attention. I've seen players who may not have been as good as the next guy, get playing time because they worked their tail off during practice.

lineman hands down. i played for sheldon clark when i looked over and seen coach matt workman working those guys i was amazed at the workout they recive every practice compared to the rb, qb and dbs

Not even close. Lineman practice is the hardest.
09-29-2008, 02:39 PM
The Lineman, then linebackers, then the QB. The lineman have to push around the other line all game long. The linebackers the way most teams play that is the last line of DEF. If they make it pash u 9 out 10 times it is going to be a TD. Then the QB because the players look at to lead the team to a win.

I played line for Pcc last year and im not saying our practice was harder than anyone elses...But the linemen practices are pretty rough..lol

Personally, I think that the QB has the toughest practices... just kidding, the lineman hands down.

I remember pushing a 5 man sled around the practice field.. And sometimes we didnt have 5 men pushing.. Thats what happens when you have a team of 18..

LINEBACKERS!!! They have to know when and where all positions are and have to take the majority of hits from everyone. Whether its coming to the line to block a hole, or drop back and pass protection.

Lineman.
One of the fun things our lineman due is they harness them up ( 2 at a time) and attach them to the front of a Ford F150 and put the 300 lb. lineman coach in the drivers seat and let him ride the brake as the boys pull it across the field. It is something to see.

Umm, let me see, I played line, I never enjoyed practice, pushed around sleds all day, rubbed up against other sweaty men the whole practice, got dirt in my eyes, hands stepped on, knees busted from chop blocks.
Hmm, I think linemen have the hardest practice.
