Powell should be feeling realy good about what they have done this year you put 28 points on the scorboard last week against in Irvine The bobcats put 0 on the board on the defence the only td the bobcats was on a fumble that they returned 60 yards so good job Powell.

Not sure. The "D" was lights out tonight. Great job guys. We got a little sloppy in the 3rd but really turned it on in the 4th. We had a couple of really good catches and a few awesome runs by QB, FB, & RB. Lets celebrate the victory tonight and get ready for the next one.

You said it!!! Congrats Pirates on beating Fleming for the first time in school history!!(I think)

This is like a David vs Goliath story. Congrats to Powell Co.
This win is comparable to when Estill Co beat Russell in I think 2004.
This district is very close IMO.

Powell took care of business against a depleted Fleming County team. Powell is much improved and may have won anyway, but when you are missing 10 starters like Fleming was, it is hard to win.

sounds like an excuse, its easy to put blame on things when you lose. refs, dirty play, bad game, no starters. you play with what you got. thats why theres a second team. the second team should be as good as the first team. you win and lose, take what you get and go on. congrats pirates, are the playoffs and a winning record in view yet? i think so. keep it up guys.

No excuse. Everybody knows they had those kids out (injuries and suspensions). I even said it may not have made a difference. I congratulated your team. They are much improved and did what they needed to do. About your other comment, you tell me what 3A or smaller school has a second team that is as good as their first. That comment is ridiculous. Again, congrats to Powell and best of luck the rest of the year.

Congrats Powell. You played one heck of a game!!

Powell looked pretty good, offense should have scored a bunch more. On defense they looked good at times. They need to cover the pass a lot better, if they face a team that can throw good they better tighten up or they will be in for a long night wherever they play.

I wasn't there at this game, and I don't really know much about Powell except from past years, while I wish congrats on the team, you HAVE to wonder what the game would have been like had Fleming not had 10 starting players out??
Good win though Powell.

Not sure how much more you can ask of your defense allowing 0 points. Offensively, pretty much the same, 33 points is pretty good.

I agree that it is pretty good, but I think we could've scored alot more. The 3rd quarter for us was just awful!!!!

That's what I was thinking. Why is it so important to run the score even higher? 33-0 isn't exactly bad.

TeamMom Wrote:Geeze...what's up with this? :moon: Good game JV!The problem is....The poster that said # 60 had 6 tackles for Powell JV. "IS" one and the same. He is posting his own stats. I told you Yao to stop pulling your own chain. Let other people find you. If you do good, they will find you. It makes you look a little cocky.

Well I mean, this isn't the JV thread. Its a varsity thread. I'm not trying to put the JV down or anything. They did play a good game. If you or whoever wants to praise the JV, please start another thread.
