Thirty-six-year-old Beretta Jo Hogg, seen above, was arrested Saturday, and charged with theft by deception. She remains in jail in Cobb County, Ga.
Police say Hogg went to a relief shelter in Marietta, Ga. with her 8-year-old son. She told rescue workers she lost everything in Hurricane Katrina.
Officials say Hogg waited in line, filled out paperwork and was given $1,300 in aid. Then a woman who felt sorry for her took Hogg and her son into her own home.
The son told the woman who took the two into her home he attended school in another Georgia town. The woman called authorities and Hogg was arrested and taken to jail.

Its ashame what some people will do for money.

she should be put in jail for a long time.. there was a guy in the jail around here for taking peoples fema money and then not fixing their house.. he has to stay in jail around 5 years
