From what I've heard, Estill had well over 400 yards on the ground, and over 500 total. They said it was a bit of a sloppy game for Estill but they still come out with the W, congratulations.

Estill Co is a really really good football team on both sides of the ball this team will go to Jackson next Friday night and will be hard to beat. Great game tonight and go to Jackson and show them what your made of. Go neers were proud of you.

Powell is a much improved team and will surprise alot of teams this year. Both teams represented their counties well. I think that the rivalry is good for both counties. Great fan support for both teams. Good luck to Powell the rest of the way.

I really don't think there was ever any doubt about this game. Powell got their first test, next week Estill will get their first test. I heard Powell looked good on the first drive and then it was all Estill. 42-7 at the half, that pretty much sums it up. Good luck to both teams next week as they both face tough opponents. Breathitt hates playing running teams, so this favors Estill, it will depend on the defense to get the win at Breathitt. Estill will have to play a mistake free game for 48 minutes but this could be their best chance against the Bobcats.

Not that it really matters, but it was 32 or 37 - 14 at the half. Rice hooked up with Barron on 2 pass TD's. Hardy & Rose each scored on KO returns of 85 & 80yds. with Rose's being called back on a penalty. The other TD came very late in the game. Conners intercepted a high pitch and ran it in from 78yds. out. Estill's scores came on every possesion they had but 2. I was most impressed with Covey. He is pretty fast and runs hard.

First off, hat's off to a good hard hitting clean game. Secondly, we have grown very fond of all 3 of our backs. You can't focus on just one, you try to shut him down and the other 2 will shine. Every week it has been a different one to step up and pack the mail. Powell has improved a great deal from last year, good luck with the remainer of your season.

I got the news from my brother about the score. I must thrash him now for not telling me the truth. I heard Billy looked good, Estill was really bragging on him. You are right about the defense, I was "told" that Estill looked sluggish at times and there were holes in the passing lanes all night. They can't take that to Breathitt or it will be a rough night. Also, very impressed on Powell's improvement. Best of Luck the rest of the year.

I was really surprized on how well this game went. I saw players from both teams helping opponents up. Besides a few thrown punches by one EC kid, all went good. I believe powell has improved alot. although they still have alot more stuff to work on, They will be fine though. Good job to both teams!

I agree with you....there was only 1 punch thrown that I know of. But Estill played one heck of a game. Their offense is hard to stop. I think they can beat Breathitt.

I think it was 20-14 in the 4th. It was a good hard fought game. Like blugrassballa stated...It was a loss. Let it go. It was a JV game. A good learning experience. Sad
