What is everyones favorite type of Offense and Defense to run and why?

I always ran the split back veer.
Defense depends on the opponent. However I always stuck with a 50 base.

In like the 5-2 monster defense. At the high school level any way. I love the power I formations and wish bone. The more traps the better.lol

Double Wing all the way!

The wing-T and the wishbone for offense, on defense I like a 5-3 unless you have good speed then I like a 4-4 defense.

I like the 4 - 4 "D". If you have the athletes, it keeps your LB's protected so they can make the tackle.
I like the spread "O". Nothing like throwing it around. Plus, they help each other out. If you are passing good, it opens up the running game & vice-versa.

Belfry loves to run the spread too...They spread what's left of ya after they run over you...JK...The wishbone and belly are great if you got the line and backs to run them.

I really like the Spread Wing-T.
I'm still waiting to see a shotgun formation out of the wing-t utilizing the option/pass and the draw. Would require some very talented players to pull off though.
Obviously defense is based on the team your playing, but against a balanced run/pass team, I'm going to have to go with the 4-2-5. Or any type of formation utilizing a Nickel package. 3-3-5, or 2-4-5 against a pure option team.
I believe Newport ran a 6-5 last year, with no linemen all linebackers. Or so I heard, didn't see it with my own eyes.
In JFL my fav defense was the 7-diamond.

I like the pro and pro I sets on offense for its flexibility.
Defense I like the 5-2. You can do alot more out of that base than I think it is given credit for. Depending on how athletic your defense is.

x would have to be a 3-4 some 4-3, o shotgun if you have the qb and receivers, if not then find them.

My personal favorite offense to run the belly with two backs from the shotgun, three receivers. Just read what they're doing and let your quarterback use his smarts to decide hand it to one of them, run it himself, or throw.
The defense I prefer is the 3-4. I like the pass coverage it brings, the run stop ability with those strong linebackers, and the blitz chances.

I like the balanced spread-I game offense. And a 4-3 defense.

5-2 best defense for High School football.
Right now we run West Coast type of style and we seem to run it really well.
Go Butler County High!

I like the flexbone with alot of motion. With the right QB, you can run belly, triple, toss sweep. Get the outside backers to widen out of their 40 techniques, then run some traps. Now your basically in a 2*2 set, so you can run some different pass combinations.
On the defensive side of the ball, I like the 5-3 in high school, unless you have an unusual amount of speed of speed, then I like the 4-4.
