Tom Brady; Out for the Season
#1
Yahoo! sports reports that he has an ACL tear and will be out for the remainder of the season.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Au...&type=lgns

Horrible news for the Pats and all his Fantasy Football League owners.
#2
This is not good for the people who have him in fantasy football.
#3
Hate to see a player go down with such a injury but I guess you can say CHEATERS never win. Now we can see how good Bill Beli''CHEAT" can do without "SHADY BRADY"Smile
#4
Theirs no official word that he's out it is all speculation so until the MRI tomorrow this is all rumors.
#5
This is great news for me.

2 reasons:

1) I hate Tom Brady and New England
2) I didn't pick him on any of my fantasy teams

Well he was on my fantasy team but I still have Drew Brees
#7
Someone in my league had him and Vince Young. They both went down today.
#8
I have him on 3-4 Fantasy Football teams..
#9
ESPN still has not said what the injury was.
#10
This is gonna hurt the Pats. Hopefully Woodson will get picked up by them!!
#11
Looked nasty when it happened, didn't think it would be this serious though.
#12
Patriots are going to have a news conference around 3:00 today about the status of Brady.

I am not a Tom Brady fan at all, but I hate to see any player go down with a possible season ending injury that could further effect his career.
#13
Well it is 100% confirmed now that Brady will be out for he season (knee surgery).
#14
Call Woodson New England or the heavty lefty.

The Pats have already asked Chris Simms & Tim Rattay to come in for workouts.

It was also said that Bellichick said that they had not brought anyone in for workouts. So either the Patriots have brought in Simms and Rattay, or they are 100% confident in Matt Cassel for the rest of the season.

Yeah I seen that on ESPN also. Its kind of an amazing story on how Cassel is even in the NFL. The last game he started was in high school. Was backup all four years at USC and has been the backup at New England also.

But Cassel should be alright with all the targets he gets to throw to not to mention one of them is Randy Moss.

I always hate to see players suffer this type of injury. Brady is a great QB and I hope to see him return soon (even though he's playing for the Pats).

Yeah I also seen that on ESPN about the last game he started was all the way back in high school. But we can say he was the backup for some great QB's at both USC (Lienart and Palmer) and for the Patriots in Brady.

See how he does this coming Sunday in his first career start v.s. the New York Bretts.

LOL.... I like that, "New York Bretts."

But yeah, Cassel IMO will be fine. Would be amazing to see him lead the Pats to a Super Bowl and take Brady's job much like what Brady did to Bledsoe.Confusedhh:

Matt Cassel and Aaron Rodgers are in many ways, on the same boat. If you look at it these guys have been the backup for two of the games greatest quarterbacks of all time. Favre gets traded, and Brady goes down with the knee injury, so heres these two guys who have been in the league for 4 or 5 years or so, replacing two QB's who have won Super Bowls, MVP's, and broken several NFL records. Plus they were both apart of Pac-10 teams. Would love to see both Cassel and Rodgers have great successful seasons and careers for that matter.

I hate to see brady go down like this, right in the middle of peak, but in the other hand the pats will not be as good as this season that they could have lived up too.
