Jesse Rose had a super game for Powell co. Barron scored on offense and defense.
Crowe caught 2 td's. I was in the stands and know for a fact Powell's defense did not allow Morgan to get a even a 1st down in the first half. I bet Powell's D-cordinator coach Fugate is happy him being from Morgan co. and his wife said that's a game he didn't want to lose. Best defensive game I have seen a Powell team play in a long time.:thumpsup:

Morgan County would be alot better off letting their 8th grade team finish out the season for them. I'm pretty sure they're undefeated at the moment. At least the 8th graders hustle and play with heart and are entertaining to watch. In all honesty, Morgan just isn't very good. The new coach hasn't made a difference at all. The only game they may be competitive in will be the Magoffin County game. Looks like another dismal football season for the Cougars.

Congrats Pirates! I think Crowe and Baron have alot of potential. Some of the JV is looking good, too. #45 had a good run. This coaching staff seems to be making a difference in Powell. Defense looks great and the offensive line has made leaps and bounds since last year. Way to go! Looking forward to the game next week against my old school! :rockon:

Crowe had 2 recieving TDs
Rice had 2 passing TDs
Wasson had 1 rushing TD
Barron had a 1 fumble return TD. He was kept out of the end zone on Offense.

I think what they were saying is, Powell looked good. A lot of teams have a tendency to play down with weaker teams. They came out and played great, like they were supposed to. Good job Pirates.
