Breathitt County is coming off of a tough 26-14 loss to Johnson Central and Prestonsburg will be coming off of a 54-20 win over Paintsville (without Allen Craynon).
When the two met in Jackson last season, Breathitt County won 12-6. Should be as or more interesting this season as it was last.
I believe this game has the possibility of being a shootout, but you never really know when these two meet.
Predictions?
GO BLACKCATS!

Paintsville is not in the same category as JC as far as strength. I think the JC game will serve as a learning experience for the Bobcats and they will come out and play a good game against Prestonsburg. I really respect Prestonsburg and love the way they always seem to play with intensity, especially against Breathitt. I think Breathitt wins by 12. There will be a lot of physical smash mouth football in this game....Gotta love it...

I agree that Johnson Central is much better than Paintsville but Prestonsburg's offense has looked outstanding in all there scrimmages and last night against Paintsville. They've been able to pass all over the field & run all over the field. The Blackcat defense did get tired against Paintsville and give up a few big runs but other than that they looked pretty good, not great but pretty good.
I'm not sure if their is a true favorite in this game.
Should be an outstanding game!

In my opinion this one will be a shootout and come down to the team that comes away with one or two big/key plays. Go Blackcats!

Haven't seen the Bobcats play this year, but from what I know about them and how they did against JC, I'd say they'll give P-burg all they want. P-burg will score because they have a great offense. BC will be tougher than Paintsville on D, but P-burg can move the ball. My biggest concern for P-burg is the D. They looked pretty good against Paintsville, but Paintsville gave them some help several times too. BC is going to throw them a better offense and if P-burg wears down on D that could do it.
Should be a good game, but it could go either way. Both teams will want it.

Good luck to both teams....I hope this game is played without any injuries that may effect the rest of the season.

Since 2000 , Prestonsburg is 3-2 against Breathitt Co. . One of those losses coming at the hands of Justin Haddix in 2002 and then last year in a close one in Jackson.
Everyone and their mother knows that Breathitt Co. is going to run the same blitzing , gap assignment defense, with the secondary playing straight up man. In the pre-season looking at this game, I thought that the key to this game would be Prestonsburg's ability to throw the ball. But after seeing Johnson Central run for over 400 yards against this defense, I believe that Prestonsburg should be able to do what they want offensively against the Bobcats. Setser and Craynon are as tough of a duo as anywhere in the state of Kentucky, and I have a feeling that the BC defense is going to be seeing a lot from those two. At reciever Prestonsburg has 2 very good wr's in Matt Sword and Austin Gearheart that Mike Burchett has the option of throwing to. And the way BC plays their corners (around 2 yards off the ball with their backs to the QB), it could be trouble for the blue and white, that is of course Prestonsburg's O-line can give Burchett time to throw the ball.
If Coach Derossett will gets away from all the play action passes (more then one play fake) that he has been notorious then I do believe the Pburg Oline is capable of protecting Burchett. But the way BC plays defense, atleast in the past anyway, there is simply not enough time for such play fakes. I would def. like to see more pure drop back plays from the Prestonsburg offense. But who knows how that will go...
I'm going to say Prestonsburg in a shoot out either way though 45-35. With Setser , Craynon, and Gearheart all having huge nights.

Pburg might have the best RB duo in the state for all I know. But I doubt they have the same guys up front pushing as JC. JC was a very big physical team, and I doubt many mountain teams are as good, as well as Big....
