What is Jackson County like this year? Isn't Powell supposed to loaded with young talent?

Any word on when Jackson County's new field will be complete? I know ACHS is scheduled to travel to Jackson County later in the season.

IMO, we have to watch for that counter stuff. When you are an aggresive D-Line, you have a tendency to over run the counter. Assignment football is what's needed by PCHS this Fri. Stay at home on the backside.
Powell could have a big night if the line plays O-Line soundly. That's a givin though. I know they can do it.

They are not necessarily loaded with young talent on varsity. They was last year and the year before and that talent has developed and is pretty tough this year. On offense 10 junior/seniors and 1 sophomore. The defense is older too. Powell looks strong and should take this game by as much as Coach Whitaker wants to.

Powell can't over look anyone. Until they establish themselves, Jackson county is no gimme. You got on here last year and said the same thing about how Powell would run away with it and Jackson beat them. Powell can win this one but they can't start slow as they did in their 2 scrimmages or Jackson will make a game of it. Powell can and should win but that depends on if Powell waits a half to play.

Powell will spread the field and throw it. What is Jackson Co. like? What are big play makers for both teams?

This should be a good game. I think it will be a hard hitting game, but I see JCHS coming home with the W in this one. 24-7

If they have a big night, it willl spell disaster for PCHS.
If Powell's O-Line can keep that D-Line off of Rice, they could have some really big #'s. Lots of lanes to run in. The QB is making a lot better choices. If it ain't there on his 1st or 2nd read, he has to tuck it and run.

What kind of Defense is Jackson Co. running? What are the good players/jersey numbers to watch for?

Against Leslie Co., Jackson Co. never brought less than 6 and sometime brought 7. They'll never win like that. Their Cover 4 look was 6 on the line, 1 linebacker, 2 corners and 2 safeties. The Middle is wide open. And when I say wide open, I mean WIDE open.
Their D-line is tough, still. Theres a long haired kid, I don't know his name, but he's tough. His motor never quits running.
