Got an opportunity to see both teams scrimmage this past weekend and nothing, schematic wise, has changed from the last couple of seasons for either of these teams. West Carter still focuses on the Wing T offense and the 3-5 defense. Bath county is still primarily in their "Power" I offense and a 4-4 defense. West Carter's defense lacked discipline in their scrimmage against Fairview. Gave up a lot of big plays just by giving up bad position or not staying at home. Their offense is still based on the fullback, dives up the middle or play action sweeps around the end. Bath county is still a very physical team anchored by #3 Zak Metz. Very fast and very strong up front. I see Bath county winning by two touchdowns but it will be close until the 4th quarter.
