Those rankings are compiled from rankings in each of five areas - Atlantic East, Great Lakes, South, West and Heartland. The state of Kentucky is in the Great Lakes region, and three preps teams made the regional top 20 against teams from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota
