All Star Example

Here is a link to a story featured on WSAZ last nite on one of my umpiring pals and good friend Larry Dalton. Alot of you that have been to Paintsville for 9/10 or 11/12 All Stars probably know him. I thought it was great to see WSAZ come down to recognize him.

Great umpire, even better person.

Also found this story that WYMT did on another Johnson Co man last week. Bob Daniels has worked with sports for 50 years in the area.

Bob was my old Babe Ruth coach back in the early 70's. Great baseball man.

To this day the three most influential men in my adult, semi-adult life have been;....... my dad, coach Wendall Wallen, and coach Bob Daniels.

Can honestly say that it has been a Blessing and an Honor to know both of these fine men. They have touched so many lives in Johnson County/Paintsville. Hopefully they will touch many more for many years to come.

Ring, your so very right, he's a great person and as Mr. K said they don't come any better. I first met Larry about 28 years ago, while playing in a softball league.
