Will this be the last year the Pirates and Fightin' Tigers hook up? I know I always look foward to the game and IMO this game makes Belfry a better team come playoff time even though we've only won one game in the entire series. I also konw that Ironton's coach is retiring after this year, and that may affect any future contracts between the two teams.

Yes, last year. I read that Ironton is joining a new league in Ohio and it doesn't leave them with much flexibility in scheduling.

Ironton also dropped Ashland from their schedule, I think. If that is true, that is one long running rivalry that is ending.

I know I heard back in the winter that Ironton was joining i think the souteast ohio football league and that would take up 9 of their games, I never did hear if they actually did join though... I also heard that Ironton and Ashland are no longer playing and I thought that was rather shocking.

This game really helped Belfry prepare for their 2 championships IMO, but I'm sure they will pick up another quality opponent.
