Tyler Deeton

Tyler Baker and Taylor Ratliff

Matt Sword of Prestonsburg will be real good. He suffered an injury last year that held him form playing too much! But he should be very good!
04-27-2008, 12:58 AM
Justin Mitchell, Russell
04-27-2008, 01:18 AM
Timmy Lovern and Thomas Varney!

I would have to say Justin Mitchell from Russell also. Averages 28.5 yards a catch. Outof 997 yards of total passing he had 427 yards. David bailey was also there with 423 yards recieving. SO after looking at both boys, it is a toss up. But I do know that Justin is on the field and in the weight room getting ready for this year. Bailey better get there too.

Tyler Baker of Pikeville is a real good one but the question is does he have a quarterback that can get the ball to him accurately, but he does have the body and verticle to get up over most mountain DB's.
Austin Gearheart of Prestonsburg is another real good receiver. He averaged 26.7 yards a catch, 400+ yards, and 4 touchdowns last season through 11 games, that isn't counting the other two games he played in especially the DeSales game were I'd say he had around 100 yards receiving.

Austin Gearheart from Prestonsburg. Stats doesnt really show it but thats only because Pburg has more of a run type of offense but he is a great receiver.

Ian Welch of Johnson Central. One of the top DB's and receivers in the monutains. Only about 9 or 10 int's away from a new career state record. He had 7 last year and 13 the year before. As for receiving, he had 33 receptions for 1005 yards and 6 TD's last season. I look for more this season.

Justin and Adam Bates have been going out and running routes with A.J. throwing and Nick snapping.

David Bailey is the best receiver at Russell imo

Ian Welch hands down is the best

Saying your the best reciever at Russell can be misleading. I was awarded the outstanding receiver award my senior year I had the most catches, most yards and TD:receptions. Okay here is the rest of the story.
I only caught 12 passes all year....
We did not throw the ball..... and yes we had facemasks on our helmet then too.... Before you even ask.
Bailey is good and he will do great things this year,,, along with the rest of the DEVILS.

Welch will be a force this year for CENTRAL.

I agree, Blake should have no broblem finding a receiver. Baker,Martin,Ratliff. Hopefully coach Copley will be hitting out of the backfeild also , Harmon, Mullins,Cleary. all have good hands and can move the chains.

I think they named him after the city. Heard the same thing, what a backfield. Could be the most speed that P.H.S. has ever had.

I do agree about the backfield though. Our FBs (Cleary, JR, Ross) are faster than alot of teams HBs are. Not to mention Harmon, Mullins and well for right now well just call him "San Antonio" LOL!

Todd Selvage from Raceland will be a kid to watch too.

Ryan Allen from Breathitt just seems to catch everything that comes his way, even if he pays for it after the catch.

PRESTONSBURG IS LOOKING PRETTY GOOD IN THIS AREA... I JUST HOPE THEY LET THE QB PASS THE BALL:football: :football:

Breathitt has a couple very good receivers. The key is having a good QB to get them the ball, and Breathitt will have that. Big numbers from the Bobcats this year.
