The Next Head Coach For The Lady Owls?
#1
Anyone Heard Who It Will Be ?
#2
Have heard a former coach should be coming back from a few years back.
#3
I heard that Perry County Central assisant coach Kevin Whitman will be the next coach at Owsley County.
#4
What is going on with Coach Cornett, who took over when Bates left?
#5
I dont think that the position has been posted yet. I have also heard that Coach Whitman has shown interest in the job. However I have also heard that the job is Coach Cornett's (the guy that finished the season for Owsley) if he wants to take the job.

Any Word On Who Will Get The Job?

Coach Whitman is really excited about the young talent coming up at Owsley county, but he has been at PCC for so long he doesn't know if he should leave out from under Coach Napier's wing or not! Coach Napier is probably going to hang it up in a year or two and he wouldn't want to blow his chance at taking over at PCC. I'm sure he would do a great job at Owsley county but I'm sure would prefer to put in a couple more years behind the hall of famer Napier, and have a shot at taking over when he retires.

Owsley County has a bright future with their young talent, However if you have the opportuinity to coach at a tradition rich school like PCC, then you better stay put. Perry is a given regional contender every year and has made several trips to the state. Owsley has never been to the state and has missed the region the last three years. Not to mention the feeder schools that PCC has for them.

It was just posted last week, so it will be a couple of weeks until it is finalized. I heard that there is only one application turned in so far.

I have heard from some folks in Owsley County that former Coach Paul Green has showed some interest in the job, and has been mentioned that himself and Coach Cornett would work together this season with the Lady Owls. But that is just hear say.
