2008 Governor's Cup Finals

The 2008 version of Kentucky's Governor's Cup competition was held recently for the middle grades and high school levels. In the High School portion of the competition Russell High School, Johnson Central High School and Pikeville High School finshed in the top 10.

In the Middle School competition Johnson County Middle School won their sixth Governor's Cup in the past 10 years and Johns Creek placed 2nd overall, I think it's great that 2 schools from Eastern Kentucky (Hillbillies) went to State competition and placed 1-2.

This is good to see. I know that Pikeville won it all about 4 years ago and Johnson Central has won it a couple of times.
