New Re-Alignment of Districts/Regions
#1
If passed, this is what the new 15th Region could look like:

57th
Johnson Central
Paintsville
Magoffin County
Lawrence County

58th
Allen Central
Betsy Layne
Prestonsburg
South Floyd
Piarist

59th
Shelby Valley
East Ridge
Jenkins
Pikeville

60th
Belfry
Pike Central
Phelps
Sheldon Clark

It looks good, but I think they need to move one of the powerhouses from the 57th(LC, JC, Paintsville), that way all three could make the regional tournament every year, and we could have a more competitive regional tournament.

54th
Perry Central
Hazard
Leslie County
Buckhorn

55th

Same with the 59th. 2 of these teams are always in the title game.

Oops. Thought I was on the softball forum.

Two teams (Letcher Central and Jenkins) in the same county five minutes apart playing in different regions?

Your right, they might as well go ahead and add letcher central in there too. Thats a big haul for the more northern teams in the region, but geographically it makes sense, somewhat.

I was wondering the same thing...They don't have a schedule on KHSAA website, so they must not because they do have their record for basketball on the site.

Sounds good to me - I hate the current 3 team setup of the 59th.
