Bath County wins easily in the district final at BCHS gymnasium. This is the first district championship for them since 1977, when they were in the 10th region. Taylor Maze was selected as MVP, with 27 points in the title game. Bath held a 20 point lead about midway through the second and held it through the rest of the game. The score was 75-58. Bath takes the 1 seed and Rowan the 2. Good luck to both squads at region.


On a side note, i was very disappointed about a certain incident that took place. Bath's Metz and #24 from Rowan county got tangled up after a rebound, with Metz landing on top of #24. Metz gets up, while the Rowan county player is holding his chest in pain. The officials call both teams to the side while they work on the player, whose mother eventually comes out on the court. Instead of makin sure her kid was alright, she started to yell at Bath's bench and Metz, and the officiating crew. I was rather irritated at the fact she cared more about retaliation then making sure her kid was not seriously hurt.
