Agree...He is a monster on the mound but i'm not for sure about football at the next level, great runner and can take the hits but he would had to put on weight for the next level and changed position from QB to RB. I heard this year EKU was interested in him, I'm not for sure if it was for what sport though. Still congrats to Puckett, and I hope he does well at Pikeville.

If this is for real, this really surprises me. I don't think he is athletic enough to play at Pikeville College. Wow! I'm shocked, Puckett had a good junior year, but heard very little from him this year. Anyway, congrats, I guess.

He was hurt most of this year (ankle) and never really seemed to be 100% healthy.

Assuming this is a signing for the JV program. Congrats

About how many points/game does this kid put up?

Chris has battled a lot of injuries all year long, he was playing better than anyone in the region last year, but these injuries really slowed him down this year. He always tried to come back before really healing fully and didn't do very well because of this. Chris is a great athlete and will do well at Pikeville. Good luck!

Ive seen him play a few times and Ive also seen Pikeville play a few times. To me they just dont seem like a good fit. He might be better since I last seen him play though, Congrats on a free education anyways.

Hats off to Mr. Puckett. I'm sure he will do well with the Bears and their new coach. Good Luck in College young man.

It is good to see these mountain kids get some recognition and I think Puckett will do very well at Pikeville. He will be a good addition along with Justin Hicks who has had a great freshman year and Pikeville and watching Pikeville play a couple of times this year this was the postition that they needed some help. They have tremendous size and Justin did a great job running the team but he didnt have alot of help at the point guard position and when he went out Pikeville was not as good. Puckett can learn alot from Justin and both of them will make us 14th region fans proud.
Also I heard yesterday that Trey Short from June Buchanan had committed to play for Transy next year. It will be fun to watch him get to play on a team that plays team ball and show his true talents.
Good luck to all East Ky kids......

This is not for the JV team, Chris made it official today at Jenkins High School. He has signed to play basketball for the Bears and he should make a nice addition to their team. He will be another eastern Ky. player (along with Hicks) that can really shoot the ball..
