58th District Seedings Determined...

Coin flip was held this afternoon to determine district seedings...Allen Central won the flip.

That means Allen Central will face South Floyd, Feb. 26th 8pm...Prestonsburg will face #3 seed Betsy Layne, Feb. 27th 6:30pm...

For some reason, they have scheduled the boys to play first on the 26th. I don't understand it. I suppose it's a Title IX thing and if so, just spare me the details. Nevertheless, I think this tournament may be wide open considering how each team has played as of late. Realistically, AC/PB/BL all have a shot and don't count out South Floyd because stranger things have happened before. Just look back a few years ago in the 57th with Magoffin County pulling off a couple of upsets in their district tournament after struggling all season.

Should be exciting.

We will talk more about this tournament and 15th Region hoops tonight "live" on The Sports Guys, 7pm - 9pm on WDHR 93.1....

Am I the only one who thinks that boys playing the first game is freaking retarded? I have hated that since they started it.

I think Allen Central will beat South Floyd, but you never know, South Floyd plays really scrappy, but Allen Central seems to always have good shooting nights. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see.

AC is going to win agianst SF. I call that right now there at home there th #1 seed there going to be pumped sf wont have a chance. Pburg will beat Bl.

I agree they will really want this win and when they really want it they play at their best.

I would love to see barry hall and the raiders pull off a upset against the runnin rebs but i just dont see it happening......I would put AC against Pburg in the finals of the district with AC winning the district.....but good luck to all teams.

I agree with this but i think P-Burg could easily beat Allen Central if they play the way they know they can. But this only happens on certain night so its untelling what will happen.
