Freeman is probebly the top hitter in the region

Id say him or Napier for PC.
#6
Yeah i forgot about Napier. Does he graduate this year?
#7
You would have to add Chris Puckett and Eric Grimm from Jenkins
#8
Campbell from Lee hit extremely well in summer ball

Nope, just a junior.

For Power it would have to be Freeman(Estill) or Brewer (Powell), both get themselves out a lot though, against good pitching theyre probably not going to hurt you too much, unless they can work on there plate discipline. Pelfrey and Ryan from Powell will probably be up there in the batting averages in the 14th but not much pop in there bats, Pelfrey has great plate discipline. If i had to pick an all around hitter for my team though it would probably be Napier, extremely tough out
#11
Estill hit .343 as a team last year. Thats pretty dang good. Smile
#12
i just re-read my post in this thread and realized it is a little negative to some of the players i did not mean it to come across this way...what was meant was that all the players i mentioned are great high school players in my opinion, just some polishing would make them outstanding.

Freeman hit .500 last year along with 9 hrs. so it doesn't look like he gets himself out too much! Although Napier is a nice player, Freeman is hands down the better hitter.

he is a great hitter against sub-par pitching...put a real pitcher on the mound he will struggle a bit...not saying that napier doesnt see sub par pitching as well i just think that when he does see a good pitcher he would handle them better than freeman...freeman could not hit a good curve ball or change up...he is too far out front trying to pull the ball. just my opinion.

It's a wonder the kid made honorable mention all state struggling that much!

What was Napiers average last year?
#17
Teague and Searcy from Hazard are some good sluggers to look for this year.
#18
Look out for Cook from LCC he'll be the big stick in there lineup and not only does he hit for power and avg. but he's a smart unselfish player who'll do whats best for his team.
#19
IMO Napier from PCC is the best hitter in the 14th. There is 2 boys from Lee can't place there names very good hitters. KCC may have a few sluggers coming up this year too. Zack Hurt from Corida hits well also.
#20
napier is the best hitter in the 14th but i think Zach Hurt and Zach Mullins both could be top of the line hitters in 08 searcy from hazard is another and pucket is there along with them

I would have to disagree. Freeman is the best hitter in the 14th with Napier close behind him. You could say that Napier is the best all around player in the 14th though.
#22
i could see freeman being considered the best hitter since he did face better pitching last year i just think napier hits the ball more solid when he does hit it freeman just hits to where there not more often
#23
Napier is the best lead off hitter a team could ask for. He makes the pitcher work every at bat and usually stays at the plate for atleast 6 or more pitches. Freeman on the other hand is the best power hitter in the region. Not only can he hit for power, he can hit for average as well. I think I heard he hit an even .500 last year as a sophomore. Can't wait to see this kid as a senior.

Yeah thats true. I know when I watched napier play he hit alot of solid balls to outs.....it would be a tight race between the two. Both being very good players.
