Pikeville vs. Paintsville 15th All "A" Finals
#1
I'm going to say Paintsville by 8 in this game.
#2
Paintsville by atleast 10.
#3
I think this game will be close. jmo
#4
I'll go with a pumped up Pikeville team by 3.
#5
Paintsville by10
#6
have to go with Paintsville !!!!, If Paintsville wins, think they can make a strong run for the overall title in Richmond.Wink

Should be a great game both schools will bring out large crowds just hope the men in stripes have a good game.
#7
I'm going to go with Paintsville. They were allowed to sit their starters in the 4th against SF as Pikeville had to play their starters hard for the duration of the game. They might come in a little fatigued, but I also feel that Paintsville's offense is too much for the Panthers to overcome.

Paintsville by 13
#8
Paintsville by 20. JMO.
#9
Paintsville in this one by 12+.

So if Pikeville can beat Paintsville, it sounds like you dont think Pikeville can make a run for overall title. Which ever team wins, I think the 15th will be represented well. I also hope that which ever team represents the 15th, the other 15th region teams will be behind them.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

it will be close but...imo paintsville wins it

I have to say Tigers by 12. Pikeville is emotionally drained after that big game and Clark was having bad cramps towards the end. A tired Pikeville team will fight hard an I'll be behind them but just not enough.
#14
Seems like this years Pikeville team does not play with the same intensity and consistency from one game to another. If they can put two great games back to back, they will be a tough out for the Tigers. IMO Paintsville by 10 in a great game and atmosphere for all the fans.

Paintsville by 10 or more. The Tigers just have too much offense for the Panthers. SV with their horrible shooting still didn't get blown out and that speaks volumes.

Yes but Valley is much more a defensive team than Paintsville.

 Gotta support the 15th Region winner at state.

Yes, but Pikeville's D is no Shelby Valley! Pikeville won't be able to slow the Tiger offense enough to win.. IMO SV beat themselves tonight and were out coached by Coach Williams. Anyway, congrats to Pikeville, but they just don't have the D to slow down Paintsville. You should know that!!!

Yeah....cause Paintsville is giving up 4 points a game more than SV. And only scoring 15 points a game more than valley. Paintsville's average game is 84-61, Pikeville's is 58-56.

im gonna take Paintsville in this one by 8

I meant Valley focuses more on D. And Paintsville is into uptempo games. Most of the time they win because the other team can't keep scoring with them which I think may end up being the case with Pikeville. But I heard the stat and not many teams score a lot on Pikeville like 4 have scored 70 in the past 2 years JBS being 2 of them. So it will depend on how many Paintsville can score.

Tigers are still hot, gotta go with em in this one. After the game Pikeville played tonight, IDK how much of Paintsville's uptempo game their legs can handle.

Tigers by 10+

Somethin else I would like to add. They way Pikeville attacked the basket tonight worries me a bit. If Paintsville gets into foul trouble like Valley did tonight, Pikeville could very well win this game. Paintsville just has to play smart.
#26
The Tigers are playing good ball right now. The last two nights though the D hasn't been there. I look for them to pick that up and win this game 10+. JMO....GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS AND REPERSENT THE 15TH REGION WELL!!!!!!!

Paintsville might be averaging 84 points a game, but I dont think they will hit it when they play Pikeville. Everyone is talking about how bad Valley shot tonight. If I can remember right, they only got two wide open layups for the whole game. I bet they only had 5 or 6 open looks at the goal without having a hand in their face. Pikeville will play tight D on Paintsville. I feel like if Pikeville keeps their same game plan against Paintsville that it will be a game. I think if Pikeville takes the ball inside early to Dev and Tim, get Paintsville in a little foul trouble, it could be a long night for the Tigers.

That's the trouble with ifs and buts and candy and nuts.....rarely do kids do what we would like to see.
I will be pulling for the Tigers, and feel there magic number will be 72. But I really like a lot of Pikeville players and think their coach is nothing but class.

Anytime a team can keep the defense on their heels they can cause problems. Good point
