Rose Hill 62 Elliott County 55
#1
The Royals Hang one on the Lions in the All A at Bath County tonight. Elliot shot 28% from the field to Rose Hill's 53%. Rose Hill has played one of the toughest schedules in the state and it appears to be paying off. Euton and Jackson step up and lead the way with some clutch free throws down the stretch. Congratulations to Rose Hill.

I still think Elliott County is far and away the best team in the 16th region but this sure does make things more interesting.

Final...Shocker semi final of ALL A in 16th...

WOW!!!

Man Crow is being eaten throughout the 16th region... Euton and Jackson must have went off.

Congrats Royals!

I like mine medium well with a little bit of A1 on the side.

Euton had 23, Jackson had 17. Both hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to get the win.

Wow, Elliot ranked top team in the state. Rose Hill can barely manage a win. Elliot is WAY overrated this year.

You are so wrong on that. Elliott County is one of the top teams in the state. Rose Hill has played one of the toughest schedules in the state and having been playing much better in recent weeks. Euton and Jackson for Rose Hill are probably the top two players in the region and are both major D1 recruits. The difference now is that they are getting a little help from the supportin cast and are a team comming together.

If these two team were to play 10 times I believe that Elliott Co wins 8 out of 10. I can't see Elliott County shooting that poorly again.

IMO this is a major upset. Some where predicting Elliott win the All A state title. Congrats Rose Hill.
#10
SHOCKER!!!!! Looks like the All A runs in state are already been mest up lol.
#11
I think people are missing the fact that Elliott shot 28%!!! You aren't going to beat anyone that way.. Elliott shoots like they usually do this game isn't close. But take nothing away from RH. They won the game and played the better game on that night. I still think The lions are the best team by far in the 16th.
#12
Elliot is not the best team in the 16th by far, this shows that the power rankings very much need to be changed a little. Elliot County has been playing their starters almost the entire game all year long against mediocre competition and running scores up in the 40 to 50 point margins and in the process padding their ranking and their kids stats. I have said many times that when they had to play a team with a good inside game and a good guard that can handle their pressure defense they would have problems. They live and die by the 3 and tonight they died. They dont have an inside game to go to when the 3's arent faling and that has to be a major concern for them right now.
#13
Congrats to the Royals!! I agree that Elliott is still the top ranked team in the 16th hands down. BUT tonight clearly shows that they can be beat. They have had some close games in the 16th and tonight they lost one. When you live by the 3 you sometimes die by the 3. It isn't likely that EC will shoot 28% often, but it will happen from time to time and then they will lose. I guess this opens up the All A a little for sure.

WOW...What a shakeup on people's All A thoughts. Congrats RH!
#15
Looks like the mountain teams chances are looking even better in the state ALL A...
#16
Congrats Rose Hill!
#17
Congrats Rose Hill. As I said earlier and often throughout the year Elliot is way overrated. Rose Hill is an alright team, but when you're the supposed 5th ranked team in the state you shouldn't lose these kinds of games.

If you wanna be sarcastic about it...aint there a few more mountain schools since we live in the appalachian mountainsBig Grin...Everyone declares the 12,13,14, an 15 regions the mountain teams i do think...Mountain team or not... Elliot Co. is not making a trip to richmond here soon...Smile

Both of you fellows are right. The so called WYMT Mountain top ten doesn't have absolutely anything to do with "mountains". Somerset is not in the mountains. Mr. Kimball is right also Elliott Co. is smack in the middle of the mountains. Calling it the mountain top ten is really misleading.

That's right, I'm glad you understood what I was saying.Smile A big portion (possibly all of) of the 16th region is also in the mountains as well, that is if you are talking about geographicly.
