Wow! Congrats AC.
#6
Stats anyone?
#7
Geezzzzz...Congrats AC.

I diagnose Allen Centrals basketball team with a Bipolar disorder. There are times that this team would struggle against some pretty weak teams and come back and thump some pretty good teams. Its hard to predict a game that they play in... Congrats Allen Central!

:thatsfunn I agree completely. I think its because AC is dependant on some young players & the over whelming majority of young players (by nature) are inconsistant. I still look for AC to get better as the year goes on. I don't think they can win the regional tournament, but I do think they are the best team in the 58th district. Just my opinion!

Oh ya, Wow, what a game tonight! impressive win!

Good win AC against a scrappy playing J.City team. Will be interesting to see the stats about how well AC shot from the three point line.

Sounds like a great game from the rebels, and another impressive showing from Aaron Crum, demonstrating why he is a top 5 player in the 15th. Glad to see Prater have a big game also, he is the key for AC to win

Very balanced attack by the Rebels! Crum shooting an unbelievable % from behind the arc again showing why he was polled here on BGR's has the best 3-pt shooter in the 15th region. Wink

Starters Hammonds and Crum are seniors. Prater has been playing varsity for 3 years. The Crowders have experience. Off the bench, Turner & Cole are seniors with 3 years of varsity experience. I would have to disagree with that statement.

AC puts it on cruise control sometimes after they get a lead and don't finish. Other times, they start spotting their opponent a double-digit lead and have to play catch-up all night. If AC can put together an all-out effort on both ends of the floor and work on the 1-3-1 by shutting down the backdoor and create more TO's with the 2-2-1 press for easy buckets, they will put more wins in the W column. It's all about execution for Allen Central.

Going into the season the Crowder's had very limited Varsity experience. Hunter saw some time going in for Josh Martin last season, but not much. Logan played less than Hunter. Despite Cole and Turner both being seniors- they also have little Varsity experience. These 4 saw plenty of JV action but very little Varsity action. Farley Joseph and JR Robinson were the main subs for AC last season. And as any one who has watched Johnny coach knows- he rarely goes deep on his bench. Watching the game from the Varsity bench- doesn't equal Varisty experience to me.

I do remember Robbie Cole starting a few games over the past couple of seasons. Hunter Crowder saw action last season, as did Turner. What I'm trying to say is that this current group of seniors have been "in the mix" in practice and in games since they were freshman because Johnny was rebuilding the program.

Good luck against Sheldon Clark...THE TALK RADIO NETWORK (960 AM/104.5 FM Prestonsburg, 1400 AM Williamson, 900 WLSI Pikeville) will be broadcasting Johnny's shot at #500 tomorrow night from Sheldon Clark. Also, the broadcast can be heard on www.ekbsports.com or www.ekytalk.com.
