Blackcats got off to a very slow start, with a score of 4-18 at the end of the first quarter. Pikeville played great defense all throughout the quarter. The second quarter went a little better for them with the score at the half being 19-29 pikeville. In the second half, the score got closer and closer with Tyler Hall and Alex Stumbo putting on a great show for the Blackcats. With 10 seconds to go, the Blackcats had the ball down by two but missed the game winning shot.

Not for sure on stats but Stumbo had a great game for Pburg along with Hall. #25 not sure of his name for Pikeville had a good game also.

The JV squad was wore out from a very intense practice with the varsity squad because of the Mountain Classic on Tuesday. It is tough to practice and then go play a game or that score would not have been anywhere near that close. Pikeville's shots were off from anywhere except under the basket.

Well both teams have pretty good excuses then, because Prestonsburg's JV hasn't practiced in a few weeks.
