What do you think about Belichicks debut? It is only one game, but what is your prediction for the future? Will be be able to produce a top tier team at North Carolina or will he damage his legacy? Will he marry his girlfriend? If so, will he have a prenuptial agreement, or will she take all his money?

She's already taking his money and without the marriage certificate.
IMO, his mind is on something else besides football. It's already hurt his legacy.

I'm a big time New England Patriots fan and Bill Belichick fan. I'm also pulling for UNC football as long as Coach Belichick is there.
As far as last nights game vs TCU, I was hoping it'd been more competitive. I'm not really shocked with the outcome. TCU would be a tough opening game for almost anyone.
UNC does have winnable games on their schedule, not counting the Clemson game lol
How things work out in college idk, but in regards to the NFL, Coach Belichick will likely be the best HC I'll ever see walking the sidelines.
I used to be big into fantasy football. I'd sit at my computer desk with my NE Patriots hat and hoodie with the sleeves cut, like Coach Belichick used to wear, while I set my teams roster for the week Lol

I don't watch NIL, transfer portal football. So I didn't even know who Bill was coaching(or screwing).

No denying Belichick is one of the great coaches of all time, but we all seen the quick & very sharp decline of his Patriots teams after Tom left, and it didn't help that he won a Super Bowl in his first year with Tampa.
Seen some talk on here about damaging his legacy, I honestly think he done that at the end of his tenure in New England. Perfect example of that is he only interviewed for 1 job throughout the coaching cycles, with the Atlanta Falcons. There was also talk that owner Arthur Blanc wanted to hire him but I guess was talked out of it. Everyone thought he would be a top candidate, but it didn't work out that way.
IMO he has continued to damage his legacy by taking the UNC job, and with all the drama surrounding his 24 year old girlfriend or whatever she is to him, hasn't made it any better. Then on National TV, labor day when you know everyone's watching, get absolutely destroyed by a subpar TCU team? I guess it could be worse, but it's not far off for ol Bill.

Saw this coming a mile away. Probably easiest money of the year in college football.

Austin Alexander could do what those staring LB did for UNC. Only reason I watch was to see if he would get in.

I'm not shocked that TCU won, but I was a bit shocked by what a blowout it was and how quickly things went downhill given the energy at kickoff.
Thought Desmond Howard had an interesting take on ESPN Radio today. He talked about how the first plays in games are typically scripted, and how well North Carolina looked on their first drive. But once both teams settled in and North Carolina was obviously to the point that they were off-script, they were well behind TCU. To me, that wasn't indicative of a team that the coach was incapable of preparing, just one that he didn't have the time or resources (players) for yet.
Selfishly, I'd like to see North Carolina's football become more relevant, especially if it helps bring them to the SEC. If it weren't for Belichick, I doubt I'd have had very high expectations for the UNC-TCU game if it weren't the only game on, so I don't know that you could say that he's a disaster or that they could be doing better, but they certainly have a long way to go.
TCU was in the national championship three years ago, went 8-4 against a pretty bad schedule last season, and should be bowl-eligible this season.
Think that we're probably getting too far ahead of ourselves if we say that this game alone is going to be indicative of how UNC's season goes. Clemson is the only tough game on their schedule, and they have a pretty nice runway into that home match-up. Otherwise, I don't see any game where they're going to be over-matched or a win would be considered some huge upset. TCU would probably be much more of a factor in the ACC race than they'll end up being in the Big XII race.
Seeing Belichick take UNC to the CFP or holding down a spot in the Top 15 in the next two seasons isn't very realistic, but I don't know if that was ever a reasonable expectation either. If Belichick's goal was to win an NCAA Championship, I'm sure that there were opportunities that would have been a much quicker fix and means to that end. Coming in to Chapel Hill, I was given the impression that taking them to a couple of bowl games, building a culture, and leaving it better than you found it for the next coach would be considered a success. I don't think that's changed.
If anything, an unavoidable humbling loss now is better than late and carrying that energy and momentum into the offseason.
