East has some nice players and a nice backfield and they always play tough. I think BHS up front will be too much . Belfry’s speed will prevail. I am most interested to see how Belfry defends against the run. To go where Belfry wants to get they got to do better against the run and improve their scoring D.

I don’t think this will be a very lopsided game. East has a couple of very good backs and pretty good size up front. I think if they can get those RPO plays dialed in then they’ll be a tough out in the 3A playoffs, but I don’t think as a team that they’re anywhere close to their ceiling right now. They’ve got some pieces to figure out on both sides of the ball. I think Belfry is pretty close to their very high ceiling based on the scrimmage footage I’ve seen I think they’re playing extremely good football right now.

I think East will go into this game looking to control the ball as long as they can which will keep the game close. I think 28-14 is a reasonable score.

East will compete and will improve a lot moving forward, but I like Belfry's experience and I think in Game 1 East Carter will make some assignment mistakes that ultimately lead to Belfry big plays in addition to a few sustained drives.

They will definitely keep mixing it up with the run and the pass.  10-15 passes a game and more if needed.

As a parent, fan, and guy that’s coached a little bit, we are no where near our ceiling. We improved a ton from the first scrimmage, as we should, but there is a lot to work on.

Defense is what I think everyone is going to be looking at. East Carter is well coached and is going to run the football and RPO game, and that is what we didn’t do well against last year.
