Sayre VS Breathitt County - 8-15-25
#1
Sayre travels down to Jackson to take on Breathitt County. This should be a really good match up . This will be the second and final scrimmage for both teams.

Nice.

Who else has Sayre scrimmaged? How are they looking? From what they lost vs what’s on the roster, looks like numbers aren’t goina be a problem. Any news from the Spartan camp?
#4
Hoping to watch this one if BluegrassSports Nation shows it. Might attend in person possibly.

They scrimmaged Lafayette but I don’t know any details of the scrimmage. I heard they got some transfers from Lex Catholic. Not sure how many though. I’m sure they be pretty solid though.

Seen Sayre in 7v7, and while their QB play won't be as good this year as years past, they're loaded with speed all over the field and have a TE with a lot of potential. Not sure what they have in the trenches, though.

It should be a good scrimmage.

Sayre returns just about the entire OL I believe. If they picked up some pieces to go with them, they will be right back in the thick of it all in November.

This one will be a tough one for Sayre. During 7 on 7’s I thought that Sayer look good. Not great but solid. Breathitt’s size and strength with be difficult but should help prepare Sayre for the season. Breathitt’s secondary should get some good work in as well with this one.

Not sure but I would say they will. Breathitt usually has a ton of media coverage for small school. I’m not sure about this scrimmage though. But in past yes they do all the home scrimmages on Bluegrass Sports Nation

Opportunity for both teams to see what they have against a worthy adversary. Going to be a good one on the Riverbank

So far Breathitt Co is laying the wood to Sayre, 19-0 in the 1st half.

Looks like the old Sayre teams that you could run for 400+ yards a game on. Also, those Breathitt guys always do a very good job with their broadcasts.

19-7 halftime. Breathitt Co helps Sayre out with 2 roughing the passer penalties.

Sayre comes out and punches it in after converting a 4th downs 19-14.

Breathitt breaks big play.

Breathitt scores 26-14. Varsity is over. JV playing now.
#21
Breathitt Co seems to have a good passing attack.

That was 2 horrible calls on both them roughing passers calls. I re watched both them and no way shape or form did he hit him late or do anything dirty.

I did hear they had some starters sit out of this one too. I’m not sure who they were but what I heard.

Who was it that played quarterback for them? The first kid 14 is the Perry kid. #10 played it after that. I figured that was Chads boy.
