Who is your preference to hoist the trophy, and in what order?
SEC Schools still in the hunt: Auburn , Bama, Florida , Tennessee
Other Schools: Duke, Mich. St. , Texas Tech , Houston
For me,
1. Texas Tech
2. Houston
3. Michigan St.
4. Another round of COVID cancelling the Final Four ... COVID would be preferable to any of those four SEC schools or Duke winning anything.

I WANT an SEC team to win it all. In fact, I would LOVE the final 4 to be all SEC teams!!!

I feel no allegiance to the SEC. There's the slimeball at Auburn, the jerk at Alabama, and the stalker of college girls at Florida. The only coach of the four i like is Rick Barnes but UT with a baseball title and a basketball title is just Orange overload. Plus, I'd never hear the end of it from Tony Pietrowski. Nope, I'd rather Covid cancel the damn thing.

Somebody needs to do an undercover sting of the psych team and pharmacist.

I'm quite sure my psychiatrist would recommend some psychotropic drugs to help curb your enthusiasm for extraterrestrials and supernatural imaginings.

A Big Orange fan on a UT message board said the Vols are "always the bridesmaid, never the bride."
Another UT fan responded by saying, " Bruh we weren’t the bridesmaid today. We was the nasty hooker at that bachelor party. We got used and abused. "
:D :D :D
Dude was spot on. Nasty hookers... that's all Rocky Top is good for.
I feel a bit bad for Barnes and for Coach Pietrowski but not for anyone else in the entire Vol Nation.

These FF choices suck worse than Thomas E. Turkey Greer.
Auburn v. Florida --- Chad Baker Mazaro: National Champion=> Totally unacceptable ; Florida : National Champion=> Almost as bad. Dispicable fanbase. Almost as bad as ours. Coach is a creepy perv. State of Florida, awful state, awful people. Honestly, I would have to flip a coin to choose the lesser of two evils. Heads, I lose; Tails, I lose.
Duke v. Houston --- Duke: National Champions=> I would root for the Taliban and cheer on the beheadings before I'd root for Duke. Houston: National Champions=> This is the only scenario that doesn't make me sick to my stomach. Yes, Kelvin Sampson has always had questionable ethical standards but he is a pretty darn good coach, depite integrity not being much of a concern for him. Houston deserves some good karma from the Universe after having victory pulled out from under them in 1983. GO COUGERS!!!
Note: If Auburn/ Fla v. Duke in the title game => I'm rooting for some of calamity rivaling the Great Flood of 1921 that will keep the game from ever being played. No National Champion this season would be better than Duke. Fla, or Auburn winning.

My last line of hope was Michigan St.
Pretty neat to go chalk for only the 2nd time in Tournament history, first since 2008.
In order for who I'd like to see win it and why, not necessarily who I'm rooting for.
1. Auburn- Considering they've only been there twice now, both have been under Bruce Pearl's watch, and this team is by far the best team he has ever had on the plains. With a POTY year candidate and Broome, and a great mix of veteran/youth guys around him to make life a little easier, and more consistent guard play than the first final 4 team, that is a great recipe to win a championship.
2. Florida- Walter Clayton Jr. has been one of the most exciting players to watch all season, and one of my favorites dating back to his time at Iona w/ Pitino, interestingly enough when he entered the portal, he chose Florida over St. Johns, imagined if he'd went with Pitino? St. Johns would desperately had the shooter they needed, but it definitely worked out for him going to Florida.
3. Houston- No denying they're a great team, consistently been one of the best in the country, even shutting up doubters by making the move to the Big 12 and absolutely dominating that conference, and finally have a potent offense to go with their tough, aggressive defense that they're known for, but I have never been a fan of Kelvin Sampson, idk if it was him coaching at Indiana, but just have never liked him as a coach, his hand got caught in the cookie jar just like Pearl did, but no denying they're both great coaches and proven winners.
4. Duke- As much as it pains me to say it, I'll go ahead and say it anyways, Duke has to be the prohibitive favorite to win it all. They've got a generational player in Flagg, and it's unreal how much he has improved since the Kentucky game in November. But they are just a matchup nightmare defensively for most teams with their size/length. I honestly thought that the one team who could give them problems especially with their pace and perimeter shooting was Alabama, of course they didn't hit the 25 3's like they did against BYU, but you could tell the size and defensive scheme was giving them fits, and they lost by 20. Like I said, they are more than likely the favorite, but I don't want to see them win

Any of the three schools besides Duke
Duke does look like the team to beat though. Can't believe they took Alabama to the woodshed like they did. Not shocked they won the game, just didn't think it'd be that bad.
This makes twice I said Alabama looked unbeatable. Only for them to get smoked the next game. By Florida in the SEC tournament, then Duke in the elite 8.
Houston has grown on me the past few years. I'd like to see them get over the hump and win the thing.
Auburn because of the Broome and Morehead St connection. Haven't heard anything yet about his injuries. Hope he's good to go next game.
Florida because they're an SEC school.
Should be some good games and a fun final four to watch.

How would you feel if Pope and Kentucky pursued Chad Baker-Mazara in the transfer portal? Asking because while it might have been clickbait, I did see a headline that his representatives had reached out to Kentucky (didn't click). Don't think that there's much to it, but you seem to feel pretty strongly about him.
He and Lamont Butler played together at San Diego State. There was at least some interest from Kentucky (under Cal) before he'd signed with Auburn as well. He suddenly has another year of eligibility after spending a JUCO year at Northwest Florida State College-- Auburn would obviously take him back, but probably didn't have that in their immediate plans until the Pavia ruling.

If he were at any school other than Indiana, how would you feel?
I get what you are saying, he was never really one of my favorites then and I'm far from a Hoosiers fan, but time heals all wounds and in today's NIL world, someone making some extra calls to recruits from a burner cellphone seems like a pretty distant transgression.
As a Kentucky fan, I definitely don't have any knowledge of Gillispie or Calipari doing worse, but I don't know that finding out that they actually had would be the greatest shock.
