Ole Miss 78 Tennessee 76
#1
Story of the game: both teams played well enough to win, but Chris Beard's team excelled in late game execution and Rick Barnes' team didn't.

Tennessee shot 39% from three on 30+ attempts, shot a higher percentage from the field than Ole Miss, assisted on 23 baskets, had 33 rebounds, and only turned the ball over 8 times.... and. they. still. lost!

That's execution in high leverage possessions and situations and nothing else.

This was an exciting game to watch, Brakefield for Ole Miss absolutely took over in the 2nd half and was getting any & everything he wanted around the rim. Rebs stuck to the gameplan of driving the ball and working down low, had a ton of points in the paint.

This was about a good of a game you'll see anyone play and somehow lose, that's what happened to Tennessee, had several chances and the last look they got was as point blank as it gets.

Ole Miss was a lock for the tournament, but this will move them up a few lines.
