Cards came out on fire in the second half and pulled away. Hard fought game by both teams in front of a packed house. Great environment for high school basketball. Good luck to both teams next week.

Cards take the region. No one is on their level of basketball right now! Parker Watts really is the human highlight! Kid can play.

Parker Watts doing what he does which is taking over the game.

Party time party time party time. The cards have made the first big step on the way to rupp arena. This was a back and forth matchup in the first half but the cards came out in the 2nd half and put it all over the eagles. Tommy looked shell shocked when the cards played that zone and the score showed it. Don’t want to say individual stats because it seems like it causes problems but will say that on Johnson counties side, it was all slone tonight. Love seeing the region out of the expo but of course they keep it in pike county. These other county businesses need that boost that comes from the region tournament but of course, it’s still in pike county. Other than that, I’m excited for the region tournament. Don’t matter where the cards play, they are ready for anyone. The road to rupp is NOW!

Wow. Nobody plays within 15 points of them in the regional. Should be a cake walk to Rupp after tonight. Congrats, cards!

Always love seeing JC take it on the chin in any sport. Well deserved. Sorry, Kong. It has nothing to do with you. You are exceptionally nice.

Congrats Martin Co!
It's all good OSH
I've got some nephews that go to JC and some that goes to Martin Co. I pull for both schools. Old Uncle Kong tries to not play favorites lol

The Cards have found their mojo at the right time, they ran two of the top teams in the region off the floor in the district tournament.

Had nothing to do with Pike County. JC would have got it if the 57th hosted.

Seems to me like the 60th district has hosted it for the past 18 years I think. Of course I know that the other schools are considered the "host", but that doesnt mean they didnt have to get on a bus and travel there.

Austin Slone probably won the battle against Parker Watts last night, but Martin County won the war. Slone had 41 and Watts had 28. The difference in the game was that Watts' supporting cast was much better than Johnson Central's. Peyton Davis was automatic from 3 and if he plays like that in the regional then most teams are going to struggle to keep it a 15-point game with Marin County. JC is going to need a lot, lot more from Brayden Shepherd and Mason McKenzie if they want to go far in the 15th region.

Seems like Martin game plan was to just play Slone 1 on 1 with estep or Davis and try their best to limit everyone else. Looks like the game plan worked. JJ does a pretty good job to be the 3rd best coach in the district huh??? ??

Lol. All I have heard this tournament is the opposing coach will out coach JJ and this and that. JJ is one of the top coaches in the area and he keeps proving it year after year.
