I don’t understand how Landon Slone didn’t win. Last year they didn’t even win 15 games and now they are a top 3 team in the region.

It doesn’t make sense. Last year Paintsville went 13-20 and 7-16 in the region. This year Paintsville went 18-7 and 13-4 in the region while having the best RPI in the region as well. They went 10-0 in region games at home this year. The progression of their players has been really fun to watch and it’s ultimately because of Coach Slone. I don’t know how they didn’t pick him. It’s crazy to me.

I guess that’s what happens when your Paintsville or Martin County. Nobody likes you or votes for you if you’re good I guess. Slone or JJ should have gotten this. Mike Howard would have been the 5-6th guy I thought of when voting for this award.
