Kentucky vs. Tennessee 2/11
#1
Rematch from a few weeks ago as Kentucky went into Knoxville and got another signature W against a good UT team. That was even w/o the services of Lamont Butler, and Andrew Carr limited to 2 minutes. It was truly a next man up mentality, was a great overall team effort.

It'll be great to have Butler out there who I'm sure will be back up to game speed by tomorrow.

We've seen this team get up for these types of games this season, but just about all of the wins against quad-1 or ranked teams have been neutral/on the road, with the exception of A&M. So it will be interesting to see how this one goes.

What's everyone's thoughts & predictions on it.

Worrisome....

VERY worrisome!!
Ziegler has been on fire since he pooped the bed against UK.

We have shown the ability to rise to the occasion in these games. I do think Tennessee will be laser focused to amend for their historically bad shooting night a couple of weeks ago. Do we know what Jaxon Robinson's status is? He was really struggling with his shooting wrist. A lot of factors going into this. I think Tennessee gets revenge, but this would be a massive win for the Cats if they can grind it out.

I think I am more worried about this one this time around than the last time. Hope it is just me overthinking it, but we better be on our A game, especially defensively.

Bad feeling. Robinson listed as doubtful. Line is TN -1.5. I think I will make a bet on TN and if UK wins I'm thrilled and if they don't I get free money.

Could see this one going a number of different ways.

Tennessee or Kentucky wins narrowly, Tennessee blows out Kentucky, Kentucky blows out Tennessee if we're asking about the order of likelihood.

No Robinson will hurt a team already lacking depth. Will need to stay out of foul trouble. Tennessee trying to grind things out will help both of those.

For Kentucky fans, things are probably never as good or as bad as they seem. We're better than what we saw against Ole Miss and Ohio State, but we're not as good as what people took away from the wins over Duke and Florida.

Sweeping Tennessee would be huge given the point we're at right now, but this series has been a regular season split for most of it's recent history.

Given, I'll take Tennessee by five.

Brace Yourselves,  Ol Kong is about to give his theory on this game  Smile

As a few of you have likely discovered,  I don't think inside the box.  Heck, I don't even think outside the box! Ole Kong here,  creates his own shape.  I spend my time skipping,  hopping,  and jumping in and out and all around this shape  Wink

The weather here sucks right now.  We have a few inches of snow on the ground,  transitioning to rain at the moment.  Idk what weather Lexington has but I'm sure it's not close to being sunny and 75!

Hope everyone attending the game has Safe travels.  Hope Tennessee and their fanbase has Safe travels.

What if,  Tennessee sees snow and dreary conditions when they arrive? What if the weather is depressing to them? And it affects their game/play tonight.  Even though the game is inside,  what if the weather outside,  is just upsetting to them.  That they just can't focus and play at a high level.

I know,  this is very unlikely lol. Just kinda grabbing at straws here.  Since we're facing a team that's hungry and seeking revenge.

Hopefully later tonight I can get the broom out,  because we've swept Rocky Top  Wink

No ifs. ands, or buts, the Vols win this one...................

Have to win this one, period.

I hate to quote Jay Bilas but tonight was just a "Fearless" performance by the cats. Defensively they were much better and I think having Butler back was key for that. Of course hopefully he is ok. How about those KY boys. Noah and Perry was big.

I have to admit,  I did kinda mess up.  I got one of our brooms out earlier,  in hopes of the Cat's sweeping the Vols tonight.  Now Miss Kong is expecting me to put the broom to use and sweep the floors  Dodgy

Ah, guess it's just the price I gotta pay.  The Cat's getting the win,  definitely worth it  Wink
