All-A State Tournament
#1
The cards are on a roll baby and head out for Owensboro on Tuesday. They have a tough one ahead though in defending state champs Lyon county. But I believe that if the cards come out and play then they shouldn’t be no problem. But they’re got to share the ball better than they did against paintsville to be able to take care of business. Everyone on the floor can score for them so they don’t need to take a contested shots when there is other options wide open across the floor. If they share the ball like they did against Pburg then they are hard to stop. It would be unreal to bring a state championship back to Inez.

I look for it to be a heck of a tournament. The All A has always been a great show. Hazard meets up with Green County which is a tough first round matchup as well for them. The mountain teams usually do really well at the All A.

Danville Christian vs Elliott Thurs 8pm. Thoughts for all the 16th region fan favorites?

I'm predicting this to be an OT game with Lyon squeaking out a win.

I believe Green County brings too much for Hazard to over take.

DCA's size will be too much For Elliott County to cope with.

I agree. Elliott will only keep it close if they are hitting from 3. But DCA size and athleticism will overcome and win the game. Would love to see an upset but practically speaking DCA wins by 15+

Pairings:

2nd vs. 15th
10th vs. 13th

3rd vs. 9th
6th vs. 11th

14th vs. 5th
4th vs. 7th

12th vs. 16th
1st vs. 8th

**Interestingly enough, KHSAA.org lists both Whitefield Academy and Louisville Holy Cross as being members of the 6th region, but with both playing in the All A, this looks to be in error.

Was looking at bracket and looks like some of the boys games are at Brescia

** This is an allaclassic.org Regional alignment. They're using an older KHSAA 6th and 7th Region set-up they kept for competitive balance. KHSAA tourney listing is correct.

All 'A' should reconsider this - the 6th has four teams now and the 7th, seven. One from each didn't field a team this year, so three and six.

Hazard’s pretty darn good. They are 17-1 and unbeaten in the state of Kentucky for a reason. They have wins over top 25 rated teams Ashland and Madison Central. I don’t know what Green County has but they had better have a LOT if they are going to take down the Bulldogs, especially if their big Higgins kid is back from injury and can play, which I hear he is.
Which my reply is not directed to you. Another post had said Green County might be too much for Hazard.

Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.  I've seen them both play and I believe Green County is the better team.  Time will tell.

Got to see the cards leave the high school and get escorted through town on their way to Owensboro. Hope to see them go down there and do their thing.

Martin and Lyon going to be a fun one

The Clinton Co vs. Hazard game in the All-A is shaping up to be a real showdown! ? Clinton Co is unbeaten, but let's be honest—they haven't faced Warren Central or Bowling Green yet. So, are they for real, or just enjoying a lucky streak?
This game should either erase all doubters or expose them as pretenders. It's like a reality TV show: "Are You the Real Deal or Just Faking It?" ?
What do you think? Ready to see if Clinton Co can back up their record? ?

The score sure didn't make this look like a good ole good one! ? It was more like a "blink and you miss it" kind of game. Maybe next time they'll give us something worth cheering for! ?

The semi's on Friday should be four pretty good games.

Did you watch the game? It was like a 5 or 6 point game most of the 4th quarter
